I actually still do this when it comes to certain things; like for instance shoes...one never gets fatter or slimmer in ones feet; so I usually purchase 2 pairs at once. Tho' it differs with a *museumcopy* that the plan is to use them later.
But when thinking more about it....if economy allows; it would feel like a huuuge relief if one had a spare copies of most everything important in ones life. At least a similiar un-used car, the guitars, the bath-tubt, not to mention a spare-un-used-wife.
Then one wouldn't have to worry too much about the copies in use.
