Super news! Tracklisting is interesting, but 3 song (Melody, Luxury, Worried About You) maybe from 4 march. Keith mentioned that first show was worst. In article from Chet Flippo reported songs they played 5 march (from article Rolling Stone): „Honky Tonk Women” „Route 66,” „Little Red Rooster,” „Hand Of Fate,” Muddy Waters’ „Mannish Boy,” „Worried Life Blues,” „Brown Sugar,” „Dance Little Sister,” „Let’s Spend The Night Together,” „Cracking Up” (a new song with a reggae twist), „Hot Stuff,” „All Down The Line,” „Fool To Cry,” „Crazy Mama,” „Rellin’ And Rocking’,” „Tumbling Dice,” „Star Star,” „It’s Only Rock And Roll,” „Jumpin’ Jack Flash.”

Fleix Appeli reported list song from 4/5 March:
1. Route 66;
2. All Down The Line;
3. Around And Around:
4. Brown Sugar;
5. Crazy Mama;
6. Dance Little Sister;
7. Fool To Cry;
8. Hand Of Fate;
9. Honky Tonk Women;
10. Hot Stuff;
11. It’s Only Rock 'n Roll;
12. Jumpin’ Jack Flash;
13. Let’s Spend The Night Together;
14. Little Red Rooster;
15. Mannish Boy;
16. Crackin’ Up;
17. Melody;
18. Starfu*ker;
19. Luxury:
20 Tumbling Dice;
21. Worried About You.

Karnbach said in book wrote, that Stones played Route 66 as opener in 4 March. Set list from 5 March:
Honky Tonk Women, All Down The Line, Around And Around, Brown Sugar, Crazy Mama, Dance Little Sister, Fool To Cry, Hand Of Fate, Route 66, Hot Stuff, It’s Only Rock 'n’ Roll, Jumpin’ Jack Flash, Let’s Spend The Night Together, Little Red Rooster, Mannish Boy, Cracking Up, Melody, Star Star, Street Fighting Man, Tumbling Dice, Worried About You.

Maybe on release Stones choose Complete 5 March show.

Thanks AntoineParis!
You nailed it - totally has an arena sound.
I'm grateful no matter what - can always play with the EQ at home

[we.tl]. It sounds like 75 tour. Huge Arena sound. Very weird.

How can they sound totally like 1975? I thought it was more like 1976 feeling. Did they used amps from US tour.
For me it's like it's not from 1977 (apart the crowd between songs).I'm very suprised with sound, playing and singing.
We don't care it''s great!!

Indeed, quite an uninspired album cover. I realize the tongue logo is quite iconic and recognizable and I'm quite a fan of it, but much like my feelings about Blue and Lonesome's cover, the choice is quite uninspired and lacking in imagination. Luckily the contents of both Blue and Lonesome and El Mocambo are far more inspired than the album art packaging such inspiration.

Yeah totally uninspired, and not a fan of the neon sign/Vegas look of the tongue which is a bit kitschy. Plus the absence of Bill in any of the artwork is another insult to him and the fans.
Can't judge a book by it's cover though, and no doubt this is something most of us fans have always wanted. Is it the Holy Grail? Certainly not, but definitely a keeper. thumbs up

Imho it goes with the fact that the band has become a brand. So any new product must bear the logo of the brand... the tongue!

It's been a while since I've listened to L.A. Friday, and also I'm no expert, but my initial take is that the playing is different than in 75. Interestingly , I always thought IORR from LYL sounded like it was recorded in a small club. This is the inverse of that.

Great to hear the news but one thing. The cover. This tongue doesn't match to 1977 year. I really love stones tongues but it all too much. All tours, blue and lonesome cover - it just tongue as main visual sign. El Mocambo could have great cover with photo from 1977. This is just one grind about whole thing. The second is no Bill photo on LP's sleeves

Just Googled stones elmocombo and searched photos. Saw a pic of jagger with guitar. What song would he had played guitar on with the known set list?

And thinking about it he played guitar on fingerprint file in 1975, didn't play any guitar on the 76 tour nor knebworth, I beleive

I'm guessing "Crazy Mama."

I think the art work looks cool. However, leaving Bill off is very un-cool. It's just bizarre how they keep doing this. The fact that there's 'only' 4 discs doesn't matter. There's no reason that 1 band member per disc had to be the concept.

Just horrible mastered with the arena sound and the reverb. Ears are bleeding…

Why is it so hard to mix and master these concerts?

A confession: I haven't bought a vinyl album for 30 years (the last one was, by the way, MAIN OFFENDER). But I feel tempted now... This might be the best archive release since SOME GIRLS LIVE IN TEXAS DVD. And it asks a vinyl listening experience... (so, it is like three songs per side... Ouch, that wasn't like in the old days... Unless you were some damn prog band).

- Doxa

i have the vinyl for some girls texas and it's awesome if you get the el mocambo you should track that down too

well worth it

I am sure it is. Actually I have a fear that if I buy this album, I will buy some others too. And soon I will be back in the old game, wondering where the hell I store all this stuff... Once an addict, always an addict...

- Doxa

Does it feel like you've got bugs crawling all over your body yet? Yeah, it's starting.

all over my body, under my skin....

wonder if there will be some kinda super deluxe with another show

knebworth?

paris?

toronto?

Yeah. The placing of JJF is a little weird in Karnbach's setlist, too.

Looking forward to seeing the real setlist.
