The fact that 30+ years after the "death" of vinyl we're here is amazing in and of itself.

There are probably other examples of industries that 'died' and came back, but I can't think of any. The horse and carriage?

I bought 2 copies of Crosseyed Heart on cassette. One to keep and one to listen to. This one I don't think I'd even open.

I only wish my town had an actual record store. I am willing to travel for two hours or so, but then i want to be sure that i actually can get a copy.. I quess I'll just have to contact some nearby record stores...

Or have a look at eBay - there're still offers for brand-new/sealed 2LPs of Hot Rocks (Yellow Vinyl) from the RSD 2021. It should then be the same for MHR and RSD 2022.

Wow, thanks! those prices are surprisingly low. Last time I checked for those Carnaby Street Red Vinyls, the original prices were tripled by scalpers.

Well, there's no way to be sure – some stores get some records, some stores get others and some stores sell their left-overs a few days later on their websites.

That doesn't go for all stores. Several times, I've pre-ordered RSD releases from my local store that they wouldn't be getting if not for my request. Then they call me once they get it.

There are record stores that will let you 'pre-order' - I haven't done this in quite a few years now, but I remember dealing with a store in MN or WI, and you could send them your wishlist, and they'd set aside what you wanted for you.

I always pre-order the records for RSD, my recordstore even send me a mail about it last week, but ofcourse they never can promise if they will get everything I want.
The Keef cassette box probably will not be there, it's not even mentioned at the Dutch record store day site, so maybe for American fans only?
