It's great for someone in the states, or anywhere outside of the U.K. We rarely saw a Melody Maker here, didn't get Rolling Stone until '67. (And that didn't go national for a while). It was a different media landscape here in America. Rock music wasn't taken seriously. We had Tiger Beat and other teenybopper magazines. Melody Maker gives us a whole different perspective, and interest, that didn't exist in America at the time.
