Just pulled the trigger on the Ron Wood artwork of the 1975 flat bed Brown Sugar tour announcement. I am so excited. they had 25% off to get it in my budget. I figure $250 for framing. I cant wait to receive it. Just excited here.

Like that one..

Which version?
Original run in 2005(?) was only 118 prints.

A smaller version with an edition size of 295 was done in 2009 (I believe).
Still currently available on Ronnie's site.

There are three:
118 on canvas (2005 - done for his 30th anniversary)
295 on paper (2005 - done for his 30th anniversary)
500 on paper (2021 - new collectors series)

Long story but I actually suggested depicting the flat bed truck for his 30th and supplied the reference image by Christopher Simon Sykes.

The new collectors series is a lot smaller than the original paper issue and the run significantly larger which allows the more affordable price point.

And for the suggestion to Ronnie.. was a good one smileys with beer

Is there a definitive site or source for his prints, with variations listed etc?
Used to know of one.. but unable to find now. Ronnie's site lists the Collectors series as an edition of 295.
Thanks!

Sorry MisterDDDD, you are quite right, the collectors series is 295, it's the price that is 500.

The paper collectors series is 35.5cm x 51cm while the first edition is 76cm x 94cm. That's a big difference in size. I don't remember everything (as evidenced above) but from memory the original retail of the original issue was about twice the price of the new one 16 years ago (based on the much larger size).

I think it's great that the collectors series allows many more fans to buy these images but from an art perspective it's a daft thing to do for long term value which clearly effects all the collectors too. Not something I would have done for sure.

I have all the old info someone and not everything but nearly everything in my own collection so feel free to pop any questions across. There are strands of info online but not a complete database. There are also a significant number of prints that were never made available for sale, that were private editions which Ronnie used as gifts.

Nice! Enjoy it every day and as you look at it think of the Stones greatness. Ronnie captured the band impressively.

Thanks. I bought it for the pure enjoyment of it. The flatbed 75 is a iconic Stones moment!
