I would have expected better from a publicly funded organisation such as the Royal Mail.
Royal Mail was privatised in 2015.
I was unaware of that. How come they can still be 'ROYAL' Mail? Aren't the Royals more than a little protective of that being added to things?

Yeah, Royal Mail actually uses the version BV made or at least used as a IORR fan club logo. Of course, the original idea and version is from IORR album.

There seem to be more versions of this lettering:
The lettering (with tongue) used on BV's IORR-Magazine was also on a Promo-
Sticker for the RS-Album - see Matt Lee's Hot-Stuff-Book, page 112.

That is messed up folks. The part around the eyes makes it a Mick-Keef hybrid and the outsized spraycan made me think of a deodorant at first. Also, too many watches.

It is said/rumoured/who really knows, that Mick & Keef (and others I guess) did go around graffitti spray painting "Its Only Rock And Roll" in order to promote the album. There WAS spray painting, buy no evidence I ever saw to link it directly to the Glimmer Twins.

As you say, around London definitely. An example can be seen in Roy Carr's "An illustrated record" - page 83.
I had a vinyl copy of iorr in the 70's with a cardboard cut out of the curvy "It's only rock 'n' roll" stuck on the front of the album. It was from a shop display. I saw it, went in an asked if they would save it for me when they changed their display.............."Yes".........Unfortunately lost somewhere along the line..............
Along with my sister's ticket for Cardiff '73....

Interesting in that they modified bv's version slightly.
Removed the tongue, and also added a contraction in front of the 'N.
Wonder if by modifying it they avoid copyright issues.

It's strange that The Rolling Stones adapted a Logo in 1974 from BV's fan club magazine in the 80s, while this logo was already used in 1974, in other words BV borrowed it.
See the decal from 1974.

Anyone in Germany recieved these yet? I'm curious how they arrived, like which service, Detsche Post, DHL, Hermes, DPD or GLS? My email said they're sent with no tracking which has made me nervous.

Thank you for the information. I'll be looking forward to the Deutsche Post at my door.
