So, can living people profit from putting out their image on stamps in the U.K.? Not knocking it, just curious. It could explain why Bill/Mick T/Brian are excluded. It also shows this has been in the works sometimes as Charlie is no longer in the group either. Probably contractually. I would assume group photos for merchandise from now forward will just be Ron, Keith, and Mick.

chalk it up under office supplies and then use the stamp to turn in your taxes

That would be foolish.

Postage is free (at least in this country) for tax remittance.

Get with the program NIK!

On a side note: Only one of them lives in Great Britain...

Wow, looks like Bill, Mick T and Brian have been well and truly cancelled ..... confused smiley

Terrible, and cheapens the entire collection.

Agree, absolutely disgusting. Airbrushing at its most awful!

Absolutely agree. This is an appalling and totally unnecessary misrepresentation engineered by Jagger, Richards & Wood (Royal Mail says they worked closely with them on this project). I notice that they included Charlie Watts on the stamps and yet he is no longer in the band as it approaches its' 60th anniversary, so on that basis alone BJ, BW, & MT should be included. Without them IMO Jagger and Richards would not be where they are today.

Maybe some day Brian, Bill, & Mick Taylor will be included as part of a special deluxe edition with a bonus sheet of "outtakes", "demos", etc.
More money to be made................

The FDC (First Day Cover) stamp is using the IORR fan club logo, first time used in the IORR magazine no. 4 dated May 1982, also used on membership cards, stickers, T-shirt and other stuff I made in the 80's.

That’s quite an honour Bjornulf, congratulations! The next time you’re having a beer with Gazza and StonesDoug you should casually mention that! winking smiley smileys with beer

Love the official Charlie stamp.
Had they offered it as one of the framed prints, likely would have purchased it.

As Rolling Stones Inc, they've not included past members in any official stuff for so long, doesn't bother me, and am sure there is a strong business aspect that makes sense to operate that way. Nothing personal at this point in other words is my read (perhaps started when it was though winking smiley).

Charlie obviously lands in a category of his own for this.. all under way no doubt long before his passing.
Glad that no asterisk or memorial stamp was made when it came to this.

Would have liked the print though cool smiley

Is there any reason 8 stamps with 1.70p each cost no more than 10p total in the cheapest offer? Shouldn't it be 13.60p total?

Because only 4 of them are £1.70, the others are First Class stamps which are 85p

Not sure but probably not as there are several examples of living people appearing on UK stamps such as footballers, rugby players, soap stars, film actors, Olympic Athletes, various Dr Whos, authors, etc - I doubt the cash-strapped Post Office will be shelling out for all of them.

Previous music related issues include -

2007 : Beatles album covers
2009 : Classic album covers (which included 'Let It Bleed')
2016 : Pink Floyd
2017 : David Bowie
2019 : Elton John

Those sets are still available from stamp dealers. For example, Rush Stamps [www.rushstamps.co.uk]

I would have expected better from a publicly funded organisation such as the Royal Mail.

Royal Mail was privatised in 2015.

I was unaware of that. How come they can still be 'ROYAL' Mail? Aren't the Royals more than a little protective of that being added to things?
