Dan, are you doing something else than visiting concerts? Is that part of your professional life?
I didn't visit any concert except those of my own band (literally there I'm not a visitor).

It's pretty much all I do. Marginally involved professionally but not many of the ones I listed. I live in LA and everything is right here, so why not?

A friend of mine is there with recording gear so you can hear some if you want. And no, they are not being sold in case retired_dog is reading the thread.
Awesome! I was hitting people up yesterday to hit the low rider stage while I get the main stage. I probably should have looked at the bus schedule before making a massive breakfast but that is also part of the strategy (not having to worry about eating as soon as I get there)
I saw them too! They were pretty popular in 2021.
For next year I've got Alice Cooper and ZZ Top/Cheap Trick for Abbotsford near Vancouver. These are makeup shows from 2020.
Also, Killers and Elton John on his never ending farewell tour!
Hoping AC/DC announce farewell tour dates for 2022.
My own last concert before the world ended for awhile had been the Tedeschi Trucks Band Feb. 18, 2020.
Was very tempted myself to see Alanis/Liz Phair/Garbage. Then Liz, who's dad is a doctor, cancelled, and that helped me cross the threshhold to passing up show that.
Was also tempted, although less, to see Green Day/Fall Out Boy/Weezer. Then FOB getting knocked out by covid made that show, just Grn Day & Weezer, more appealing. But I still managed to pass it up, to save up my risk-taking for higher priorities.
Next, I really hated not going to a late September Jason Isbell concert, but resisted, for the same reasons.
Finally, Delta was declining and it was time to tumble the dice and see some shows.
The Rolling Stones - Oct. 9
Samantha Fish - Nov. 14
Wolf Alice - Nov. 15
Wolf Alice - Nov. 16
Sarah Shook and the Disarmers - Nov. 20
And that's been it for 2021.
Snail Mail would have been Nov. 27, but days before the gig she learned she has vocal chord polyps needing surgery.
I'd had a Nov. 11 Stones ticket, but the near-total masklessness of the others in the Pit in low-vax-rate Tennessee led me to decide to not press my luck again in the same thing in Georgia.
For early 2022 so far I have lined up Courtney Barnett, and The Regrettes.
Here's hoping omicron doesn't wreck the whole winter.

Saw Genesis last night in Boston. Haven't been to large indoor show in quite some time, but brought back fond memories of those type of shows. Great musicianship, sound and visuals. Supposedly their final North American show. Phil Collins mentioned their first NA show was Brandeis College in Walthan '72.

Exactly one concert, but the best concert of the year to be at and the hottest spot in the venue (almost, only one little friendly woman in front of me) right in front of stage and Keith & Mick

not 10 minutes after talking to my friend who said he was going to San Diego to see him I was offered 2 free tickets. Usually anyone and anything this far out is a no go but he was totally down to drive.
OK corporate country gig, love talking to people in line, some of them are hardcore. And I barely knew the genre even existed til about 2015.
CYHMK was used as the intro tape which is kinda weird because nothing played after could measure up to 3 mins of that song blaring out the PA. There was a fight he did a pretty good job of defusing from the stage. He played 126 mins.
I was the only non-employee wearing a mask.

This morning I decided to get up and go to the Once Upon A Time In LA festival but ran out and missed the bus I needed to be on in order to (hopefully) find a ticket and see the first act (Trish Toledo) and the next one would be cutting it way close so I went back home and got to work on a massive box of tapes that was dropped off yesterday. Probably saved myself from getting infected, ripped off, stabbed, deafened further etc

My own last concert before the world ended for awhile had been the Tedeschi Trucks Band Feb. 18, 2020.
Was very tempted myself to see Alanis/Liz Phair/Garbage. Then Liz, who's dad is a doctor, cancelled, and that helped me cross the threshhold to passing up show that.
Was also tempted, although less, to see Green Day/Fall Out Boy/Weezer. Then FOB getting knocked out by covid made that show, just Grn Day & Weezer, more appealing. But I still managed to pass it up, to save up my risk-taking for higher priorities.
Next, I really hated not going to a late September Jason Isbell concert, but resisted, for the same reasons.
Finally, Delta was declining and it was time to tumble the dice and see some shows.
The Rolling Stones - Oct. 9
Samantha Fish - Nov. 14
Wolf Alice - Nov. 15
Wolf Alice - Nov. 16
Sarah Shook and the Disarmers - Nov. 20
And that's been it for 2021.
Snail Mail would have been Nov. 27, but days before the gig she learned she has vocal chord polyps needing surgery.
I'd had a Nov. 11 Stones ticket, but the near-total masklessness of the others in the Pit in low-vax-rate Tennessee led me to decide to not press my luck again in the same thing in Georgia.
For early 2022 so far I have lined up Courtney Barnett, and The Regrettes.
Here's hoping omicron doesn't wreck the whole winter.
