Rock musician John Miles has died at the age of 72. He was best known for the epic ballad Music, which reached number three in the UK charts in 1976 - [www.BBC.com] :
Seen him twice in the 70's on his first UK tour as support to Robin Trower Glasgow Apollo and later on at Stirling University as support to Procal Harum exc Live IORR
He opened for the Rolling Stones along with the Meters and Little Feat at Stuttgart, Neckarstadion, June 19. 1976, the first Stones concert in a stadium in Europe at all. Of all those three groups I liked him best. But he had just released 'Music' back then, and he filled in for Robin Trower who for some reason or another could not appear. It was sensational to hear the massive hit live! And some other tracks were also nice!
