So nice that Lisa was there. And that they did manage to keep it private, in keeping with what Charlie and his family wanted.

yeah i'm sorta of the opinion now that it was better to have kept it private

According to Ben, the Watts family asked that no pictures be taken, though there was an official photographer. Bill was there but didn't play. Ben also said the Stones played Down the Road apiece and Shame Shame Shame. He's being very respectful and circumspect about what he's sharing, as you would and should fully expect.

Lots of well known faces there and I imagine other artists played too. Charlie's friend since the age of 5, Dave Green was there.

mick, keith, ronnie, steve, darryl, and lisa are all in london plus bill's sorta in there orbit right now too

and they don't have any shows or tours to rehearse for

and it's a couple weeks out from christmas

and ronnie's got a studio

It would appear that the invitations got sent out more than a month ago so they were indeed able to keep a pretty good lid on this.

What about Mick Taylor? Or did he get the usual Rolling Stones shaft

good point gr but they did make over $10,000,000 for the contractually obligated tour where people pay out huge amounts of money to see them do a tribute to charlie

be nice if they could do a free public tribute for charlie this spring maybe in hyde park as well

A nice idea would be a tasteful Documentary about Charlie's life & his music - and the filming+recording of the recent tribute-performances could be part of it.

What has it got to do with the Stones? They didnt organise the event. Charlie's daughter and granddaughter did.
