I heard Bill Wyman was there but didn't play.

The Stones played Down The Road Apiece and Sham Shame Shame.

So nice that Lisa was there. And that they did manage to keep it private, in keeping with what Charlie and his family wanted.

yeah i'm sorta of the opinion now that it was better to have kept it private

but boy i'd love to hear them play shame shame shame and down the road apiece

and i'm certain i'm not alone

love to hear more about this special evening from someone who was there

According to Ben, the Watts family asked that no pictures be taken, though there was an official photographer. Bill was there but didn't play. Ben also said the Stones played Down the Road apiece and Shame Shame Shame. He's being very respectful and circumspect about what he's sharing, as you would and should fully expect.

Lots of well known faces there and I imagine other artists played too. Charlie's friend since the age of 5, Dave Green was there.

This all from Ben's Facebook page btw, I'm no insider!

and it's a couple weeks out from christmas

and ronnie's got a studio

All I know is I heard about this show from three different people, spontaneously and separate of each other.

It would appear that the invitations got sent out more than a month ago so they were indeed able to keep a pretty good lid on this.
thumbs up

How about it's a private show for friends and family and they don't film or record it as it's about remembering their friend and not a money making exercise same as the Stu tribute in 1986.

How about a tribute-show for Charlie's fans and to his remembrance (which has nothing to do with a money making exercise) ?

They already did something like that. It was called the 2021 No Filter tour.

good point gr but they did make over $10,000,000 for the contractually obligated tour where people pay out huge amounts of money to see them do a tribute to charlie

be nice if they could do a free public tribute for charlie this spring maybe in hyde park as well

One can see it like this - especially if you were able to be onsite at the US-Tour.

A nice idea would be a tasteful Documentary about Charlie's life & his music - and the filming+recording of the recent tribute-performances could be part of it.

What has it got to do with the Stones? They didnt organise the event. Charlie's daughter and granddaughter did.
