The members introductions thread got me curious as to when board members joined IORR.A few quick checks and it appears there are a few who joined 17 years ago.I wondered how many of those in the "17 Club" were subscribers to the magazine and if so when they started their subscription.I started getting the magazine in the mid nineties,although I do have an odd magazine before then.
So, Are you a member of the 17 Club?
Did you subscribe to the original magazine and if o when?

All the posting history prior to (I belive) 2005 was wiped (something with the server?), so it's hard to go by posting history.

I believe many have been on here since 1995 (or was it 1996?), when the site was launched.

I joined when I searched for info about the B2B-tour in 1997.

So it's rather the 26 or 27-club

I had a magazine subscription.

I show 2004 (17 years) on my login/name but I recall lurking right before Licks if I recall didn’t bother logging in/signing up at that time as it shows 2004.

I subscribed to the magazine and kept them for many years (until recently actually...gave them to the local library). I first started coming here in 1997 I think.

I startet to subscribe the magazine around 1980, if I remember that correctly. I still have some "Undercover" stickers (Christmas gifts 1983 ?) from BV somewhere. The modern technic, in case of "IORR Online", reached me very late, at the end of 2019. So I missed a lot of it. Maybe we can call that an early subscriber and a late IORR 2.0 member.

I think I signed up in 1995 - Hockenheim, Wolfsburg, Rotterdam. What a year.

Well, my Control Center says "17 years".

However, I joined as a poster during the 2003 tour, while my earliest traceable post is from 2006.

I believe I was member no 96, started in 1982(?). Just found a few Undercover stickers and some Stones christmas cards (and a lot of IORRs) in an old drawer

I actually joined in 1995 before the european tour.

I have met many great fans here and have developed some long term friendships.

A few on here have even crashed in my guest room.

I joined just after Stripped came out.

Although my control center says that I joined 17 years ago, I actually joined 19 years ago while searching for recent set lists in anticipation of attending their 2002 show at The Tacoma Dome near Seattle. I’m glad I found this group!

Indeed more than 17 years for many because in may 2005 we renewed our accounts. New provider if I remember well.

I purged the forum database some years ago, may be it was 15 years ago, don't remember, i.e. got rid of old posts, because many people started to post on very old threads, making the reading of the forum very confusing. Since then, I do not purge anymore, I do the manual work of closing and deleting posts which are waking up old dormant threads.

I joined 14 years ago.

I joined at Voodoo Lounge days ca.95.

It was great to read about all those gigs. We never had that before.
There were other good sites as well in those days: Undercover,Sticky Fingers Journal etc and very nice bootleg sites.

But acc.to Iorr I've only been here for 14 years.
If it's important to anyone you can't trust those numbers over here.

I'm a newbie, only here 17 years..... according to Control Center. Not sure when I really joined or what I did before then!

Also 17 years but startend I think '97, never ordered the magazine I still have magazine from the early 70's from a Dutch fanclub

I found IORR.org in 1998 BTB Tour. I remember me searching the Songvote Site.

17 Club, this is scarier than when I joined the 27 club!

I became a member in 2003, it says seventeen years ago in my control center as well.

During the Bridges To Babylon Tour in 1997. So, 24 years ago for me.

Started subscribing to the magazine in 1983 I think. My tape collection started taking off after I posted an ad looking for trades. I'm still actually in sporadic contact (via facebook) with 3 of the first 4 people who responded! (I think the other guy ended up in jail for crimes that werent connected with music....)

Didnt get the internet until December 1997 however.

I didn't get on the internet until 2000. Before that, I just used my computer like an electronic notebook and to play cds and simple games.

When I finally took the plunge and got a dial-up modem subscription, the first thing I looked up was "Rolling Stones fan site." I think it was on Ask Jeeves'(?) search engine since Google didn't exist yet. IORR was at the top of the results and was the first site (besides the search engine) I visited, read and joined.

Although I never read/got the magazine, the site was invaluable. Especially 2 years later during the Licks tour, when I got tips on getting tickets to a theater show, bought some tickets for a show in another country and got links to download my first mp3 tracks from the internet of Licks tour bootlegs.

A great find.
