Keith is a bit tired. But no big problems and no big impact on his playing. He is awesome, given the conditions.
Ronnie and Keith completely nailing Rambler with Steve now, it's just magic when those two weave like this, yeah this band still has a future for many years on the strength of this, i even prefer Mick now, he's moving slower but singing so much better than before, he's not wasting energy it's all going into the vocal and keeping the band tight.
I'm with you, can't understand that but everyboy is free to do what he wants.
They are taking it rather slowly (as it's the first outing in a while) but it's a lovely song whatever the speed.
Ronnie really kicks some enthusiasm into this.. great playing!

Just got back from the gig. 18 song set.
You got the silver for the first time this tour I believe. I would say a bit of a ropey start to the night, seemed like a few errors and sound issues, won't go down as vintage Stones - I think the outdoors doesn't aid Keith any, but overall very enjoyable- managed to get out of the site in about 25 mins having stayed until the final bows but then running back to the car!

The thing about hearing soundcheck is I think I know the setlist.
The police escort rolled up (Ronnie window down and waving) a minute later they were playing

Rocks Off
bits and pieces of
Living In A Ghost Town
Gimme Shelter
all of You Got The Silver (2021 debut if they play it)
Midnight Rambler with some harmonica then jamming with no vocals
Then a few more Ghost Town fragments, maybe just Keith n Steve
Then, and this is unusual, they leave again and catch a close up of Mick behind tinted windows.
When I say this out loud the guard at the gate tells me they have a Covid bubble backstage area at the local amphitheatre nearby.

2 hour car ride to go 12 miles on the way in. However none of that matters. That Rambler was worth it all. No traffic on the way out tho, back at the hotel in 20 minutes. Great and fun show. Just needed taller cowboy boots to see in the Gold Circle.

Traffic and sound issues…had more than a few friends there last night…I couldn’t go due to a scheduling conflict…after reading their texts this morning, I’m grateful I got to see them in Detroit this year, and Zilker Park back in 2006.
