With all the great sharing that is going on here, why not have a thread where we know we can go to request/receive songs. Assuming enough action, it will always be on the first page and everyone can get easy access to the songs they dont have.

I keep hearing how great "The Storm" is but have never heard it... anyone have a copy they can send?

We should perhaps also try not to upload copyright protected material, I think. It could get us into troubles.

I do not want to spoil the game...but I am afraid to say that ALL MATERIAL WITH ANY STONES INVOLVEMENT IS "COPYRIGHTED" - regardless if it is released or not. It is a common misunderstanding that "unreleased" stuff - outtakes, live broadcasts, live recordings are not "copyrighted" - however, this is not true. International copyright laws protect each and every Stones performance. Sorry again to say that, but I did not invent these laws!

Yeah, I'm aware of that - what I ment is that we should just post stuff that was not officially released before, or at least in another version. That's also the way Rocks Off deals with the whole topic (Rocks Off Torrent tracker) and I believe they looked into all that before starting with their Torrent tracker.

Be careful, people, be careful! We should not overdo it. Some mp3 here and there will be ok, I guess, but something in an organized form will rock boats we shouldn't rock!
What was posted before about copyright is completely correct - any fart from Keith's ass is copyrighted as Stones music, but.... the Stones themselves didn't take care much about bootlegs in the past, they've been heavy collectors themselves.
For this reason it's obvious that we shouldn't post anything available from official sources here, because the record companies take care very much sometimes!!!!
Just let us down real slow...... ;-)

i thought of all the concerns that have been mentioned in here, but I figured as it is already going on (and seemingly increasing of late) that all i was trying to do was centralize the sharing, so we dont have to search and bounce all over to find what is already being posted.

I am not suggesting anything different be done, just lets do it in one thread. if you were against it before, you dont have to join in, right?

Also, can sopmeone tell me how to listen to a flac file? I appreciate the posting of The Storm, but apaprently i can only get mp3s to work where i am. Thanks


I have another technical question. I have a lot of boots from the "old" days when there were no CDs. Does anyone know of any (affordable) hardware that can burn CDs from records???
