Stones & Company

After seeing the increased popularity of Dead & Company over the past few years, and seeing what a viable new business model it is for the Grateful Dead members to transition into retirement while keeping the brand going……perhaps it’s time for Stones & Company.

Let’s face it, the original members just aren’t bringing it anymore on a consistent basis. New blood is needed, and this business model allows for a seamless transition to bring the Stones back to greatness.

Hear me out.

For starters, Lenny Kravitz would be a great replacement for Keith.

And Harry Styles was born to be the next “Mick” in Stones & Company.

Perfect way to introduce the Stones to a whole new generation, and musically, might even be better than the original band. This would ensure tours for decades to come, and it would be totally unnoticeable to most fans.

Who’s with me?

yikes no no no no no no no no a billion times no
i would rather there grandkids push mick and keith onstage in wheelchairs wearing oxygen masks
i would rather keith play his sad sad sad solo from tampa for 2 hours while the rest of the band plays a out of tune drunken version of let's work while mick takes a nap in a rocking chair
i would rather there history music and accomplishment be completley forgotten by future generations
i would rather eat glass

but i should move out of the way before I get hit by flying projectiles

seriously lenny kravitz replace keith ew

nothing personal

Appreciate your enthusiasm but sorry count me out.
Im a huge Deadhead also, and have seen Dead & Co several times.
Its more for the party then the music now.
I agree with your point about introducing the music to a new generation, but thats what we have recordings for.
Im pretty disappointed by the way Dead Co has totally monetized the entire Grateful Dead scene.
But I guess the Stones have already done that while they are still going. LOL!

What an amazing idea! You could even have several different "Stones & Company" bands touring the world simultaneously, with Mick, Keith & Ron guesting on stage up for a song via hologram satellite imagery.

The possibilities are endless! You could create "Stones Schools" where you're trained to be one of the band members, Mick, Keith, Ronnie, Brian, Charlie, Bill, M.T. You could even have slots for session men through the years. That way you could have Stones & Co. tours for different variations of the band.

This could be even BETTER than the actual band, because you could have the Brian Jones clone and the Ron Wood clone onstage for the first time ever. Think about it...a 4 guitar weave!

I've already reserved www.stonesschools.com and am going to email the band with a business proposal.

LOVE IT!

Well you wouldn't get the actual Blondie, but maybe a Keith clone that got really poor grades in "Ancient Art of the Weave 101".

It may happen once we're gone. Young people go through these phases of discovering classic bands. They don't have new ones for their generations. I'll run into a kid wearing a Led Zeppelin t-shirt. I tell them I saw them live, twice, and they practically bow down.

Certainly no Keith, but definitely similar to Ronnie...

Oh please. Please no. Ridiculous idea.

Dead & Company style Stones? If YOU don’t like The Stones as they are now (and they sound great to me, apart from Keith’s Sad Sad Sad solo!) YOU can just sit them out.

Who’s with me?

Dead & Company works because Bob Weir is still around, and he sang on roughly a third of their songs.

Stones & Company could only be a thing with Jagger; the minute he's gone its over Rover! And Stones & Company is too much of a metoo name, Jagger could still go out as "The Stones" (assuming Keith is no longer on board).

Oh fuckit, this is ridiculous, it will never happen!

The Stones sound is the sound Keith makes, he can't be replaced.
