That would be nice, but I dont see her joining the rest of the tour.
Perhaps sitting in for a tune in Detroit her hometown?

I’m purely guessing but from watching the video clip it sounds to me like he was joking and she just didn’t realize that.

Dancin' In The Street is cool, but even better would be Nowhere To Run. It's a killer vamp and would be a great jam song to lead into Satisfaction. I can hear the horns now as Mick and Martha wail.

This would be great to see!

Martha Reeves put out an “invitation across the nation” in 1964 with “Dancing in the Street,” and now she has her own invitation, to sit onstage with the Rolling Stones at their Nov. 15 Ford Field concert.

And maybe sing? Reeves says she’s scheduled to go through their careful COVID-19 procedures (she is triple-vaccinated, as well), and that the Stones have put “Dancing in the Street” in their set, so she’s hopeful.

Jagger has been talking about Martha for the past few weeks, including in Dallas, telling people that he’s going to see her in Detroit, and maybe even sing with her.

A couple of fun facts about Martha. When she was elected to the Detroit City Council, her campaign posters said, "Martha Reeves and The Vandellas for Detroit City Council." And when the Council met to discuss what should be done with the land on which Tiger Stadium stood after the stadium was to be torn down, Martha seemed completely unaware that the Detroit Tigers no longer played at Tiger Stadium, and in fact had moved to a new stadium, Comerica Park, nearly a decade earlier.

Ok I honestly don’t want to be negative nancy and absolutely not looking for a fight but I don’t understand the excitement to have ANY guest appearances with the Stones. And why so excited about Martha Reeves? Yup, I know exactly who she is and understand it’s Detroit and all that and know all about her. Just don’t get why the excitement to have her sing a song with Mick.

because she and her music are beloved by the band and back in the day likely even influenced there own music

Saw Martha Reeves in Atlantic City a few years ago. Her voice is not the same as it used to be, however, still a great performer and an icon from the great Motown legacy. Dancing in the Street ranks among my 5 favorite songs of "all time". It would be an historic event if she would do a few songs with Mick and the boys.

I hope she sings. But I’m not a fan of Dancing in the Street. The Jagger/Bowie version is shocking. A Shout Fest. Never liked it.

Yes I’m surprised the band would consider performing a song Mick recorded away from the the Rolling Stones. Not that I think there is anything wrong with including it in the set but historically it seems such things were not done.
Personally I say do it - especially if Martha will jump in!
