Keith- (paraphrasing)
You'll have to excuse me.. It's a little confusing for me at the moment because things are really rocking..
(re performing)

Strombo: Why? You're not used to things being rocking like this??

Keith: Ohhh.. I'm used to the rocking... but I wasn't expecting it..

Think Keith speaks for most about this tour.. not expecting the shows to be so damn good, particularly with the Charlie loss, new drummer, and covid etc.

Interesting that Keith says he had to be talked into (by Mick) including Living in the Heart of Love. Also says he expects they will work it into the setlist at some point … I have my doubts about that. Such a cut-and-paste arrangement. It would be tough to get through on stage without getting lost.

Like the interview, thanx for posting! Love to see Keith really loves their music, their albums, it`s not like some stuff from the past, from some finished story...

Regardless of the issues talked I do not remember such a sober an lucid Keith. I could even understand most of he said despite I am not an english speaker.

Excellent interview! Local lad George Stromboulopoulos - I wondered where he’s gone. He worked in radio, and on Much Music (like MTV here) and then appeared On Hockey Night In Canada for a bit. Too bad Keith isn’t a hockey fan, it could have been a long chat.

I had to wait until bits of this interview are on Youtube as I don't subscribe to Apple Music. But, my God, how coherent does Keith sound suddenly! I really didn't believe he'd given up the booze but he sounds so much better.

here's the video

we

but yeah wow he looks and sounds very different
i'd say he looks his age which for keith is something new he always looked older to me then he was since at least the mid 80's

cool to see hope his new healthier lifestyle and the obvious joy he's experiencing
playing with steve again leads to a renewal of his creative side

There is something inspiring about this man - even if am not uncritical towards him.In a time in which health and fitness are supposed to be everything he proves the power of spirit. Chapeau!

I happened on this interview with Sonny Rollins where Tattoo You is briefly discussed. Just added it here because of the Sonny Rollins reference in Keith's interview:

Doesn't think much of the Rolling Stones...too derivative of black music.

Great article I can't read. Love the NYT with their claptrap of bullshit limit.
