another interesting bit from it is the commentary for that episode in which they they go on to tell the story of how mick came in with a guy to impersonate keith for his lines and then when keith came in to do his they played it back for him and he said

that good why don't you use that ha ha

also that he made his own smoking sounds and i can't remember what they said he used for a ash tray put it was something funny

I remember taping this episode on VHS, as I had been doing with The Simpson’s throughout the 90’s. Nice to see Keith in ‘classic mode’ during the recording. Even though he’s probably sober, he’s acting that ‘elegantly wasted’ part very well.

The Simpson’s was so darn funny for the, what? First 6-7 seasons? A cultural phenomenon, that’s become irrelevant, sadly. It simply stopped being funny.

They don't look at any screen to "lip sync" - so to say with cartoons.
Wonder if voice's recordings are done before or after the making of the drawings.

Good stuff. Apparently that episode was written years before it actually came to production and airing, but it took a long time to get all the rock stars on board and scheduled into the studio.

That figures, considering, that by the time of this episode’s recording, The Simpson’s was no-longer funny. It’s a decent episode; not a classic, obviously.

It's funny how they both gave the same reason for why they did the episode , their kids, but they both had a such different way of explaining the same thing...Also Mick should do more voice over work. He's not bad.
