looking for some Hollywood FL ticket advice from the experts
Posted by: keefmick ()

Hi Team--I am looking for some ticket buying advice for the Hollywood FL show. I only live about 15 minutes from the venue so need to be there. I usually buy my Stones tickets as soon as possible for shows and don't play the waiting game. Of course I wasn't able to get tickets through ticketmaster for this one so now need to go on the secondary market, likely stubhub because while their fees are exorbitant, they are totally legit and trustworthy as to getting a real ticket. So, the question is, what will likely be the best time to buy a ticket on stubhub for the lowest price (low being a relative term for this show), now or let some more time elapse and buy closer to the show as sellers get a little nervous about selling? Or is that not likely to happen with such a small venue? I am never in this position so looking for the advice of you experts out there! Thanks in advance.

Wish I was more optimistic about getting an after market ticket for a reasonable price on this one, but I am not.
Perhaps very last minute if they don't sell, but the opposite could also be true.

If just getting in the door is the goal, Stubhub has a 301 section Row A right now for (gulp) $975 after the fees.
Floor tix range from $1911 to $23,424.

I'd lean towards waiting for certain at those prices, but would watch all the secondary vendors like a hawk and be ready to pounce.
A single ticket (if that's the goal) is typically easier to find at a decent price than a pair, so there's that.
There does seem to be quite a few available out there. Good luck!!

This one is tough because it's unique.

If you live in the area you should try visiting box office. Now and day of show if you still don't have a ticket.

AVOID Stubhub. This advice is from a longtime Stubhub top seller! The company is a complete mess and it's impossible for buyers or sellers to get help with anything. The same seats are on other secondary marketplaces. My preferred is Tickpick due to their all in pricing but their selection can be a bit smaller. Second would be Vivid. Try carting, registering and throwing back and see if they send you a coupon code (there are various ways they calculate fees at the end)

But your best bet, if you live in the neighborhood, is inquire with the box office and don't be afraid to go down there ticketless.

Sometimes ticket are released the day before and day of the show. Ticket are held by the promoter and never make it to to whoever they were intended for. I don’t know if you want to take that chance. I have never bought a ticket from a secondary market and never will. I would check Ticketmaster a few times a day, every day.

Keep checking Ticketmaster like crazy... especially the week of the show, as they often release additional tickets.

I had wanted to see comedian Trevor Noah at the Hard Rock last week, but was completely sold out. Not even a single.

But on the day of the show, they released a bunch of extra seats.

In other Hard Rock Live news, they just announced Billy Joel is playing there again, in January. I saw him there in Jan 2020. Nice to see him in a smaller venue than usual. Billy's price range is $100-$400. Expensive for sure, but compared to the Stones, a real bargain! Provided I can get a seat under $200, I'll be back.

I'm about 20-30 minutes from the Hard Rock (in Coral Springs), but I am skipping the Stones Hard Rock show. Way too pricey for me. (Maybe I'll head to the casino and grab some merch though, if they still do custom poster for the Hard Rock. We'll see.)

I'm just going to have to be content with the Tampa show instead. Driving up Friday and using my lucky dips.

Thanks for all the advice! In my view that's what this community is best at, helping each other out. I am trying for a single and was going to use Stubhub as I have had no issues with them in the past but will definitely take Dan's advice and stay away from them this time. I will keep trying ticketmaster and tickpick and vivid and hope the prices drop a bit. They are crazy high but I know I will regret not going to a show 20 minutes from my house. Cheers to all!

I don’t believe the HardRock has a “box office”. They direct you to Ticketmaster.

Hm, I thought there was a will call option for overseas buyers, so if they don't have a box office, where would you go to pick up your tickets?

I am sure once the concert is half over you could get a pit ticket for the same price as a stadium show.

Hi keefmick

The Hard Rock venue looks free on Saturday if they added a second show November 27th.

Two things to think about:
1st in 2016 after desert trip they had midweek arena show in vegas then announced a 2nd show for Saturday night. Then the day before the midweek show was cancelled and the Saturday show ended up happening.

2nd Hard Rock Stadium show in 2019 was hot hot hot ticket as the tour opener then the tour closer until like 36 hours before if you remember what happened. When they moved the date up.

Not likely to happen. They haven't done back to back shows in a long while. Seems like shows are spread out 5-6 days apart these days. The exception was the LA add, and even that had 2 full days off.

The gap between shows is usually for stage traveling and building.

Would be very easy to add a Saturday show

They are heading towards 80 years of age and no doubt appreciate a rest in between shows they may also like to see the places they are touring.

Last show(s) of the tour...plenty of time to be a tourist...
At their age, they're quite fit and trim even with various health issues...two shows back to back isn't as unrealistic as it might sound - could be the last show(s) in the US...

They seem to be partial to Sunday nights as well on this tour (opener and others)..
I could see them taking an extra day off and adding a final Sunday show.

Not like they'd have trouble filling the place, and if they're filming for a future release they would have two shows to pull from.

I’d be willing to spend the week/weekend of Thanksgiving in sunny Florida if they add another show smileys with beer

I've no doubt that some mug will pay that amount......

We all love The Stones but we also recognize that they are as greedy as hell.

I doubt there will be a 2nd show. We don't know how many they are holding back and trickling out at top dollar. Demand could flatten if we saw everything up at once. This is basically a gravy show so everyone can make the money they thought they were going to when it was booked in 2019, not about satisfying Florida's demand for a small venue show.

Don’t be so damn cynical. Take this show at face value. A huge band in a small venue with tickets available to the general public well in advance. That’s fantastic. Yet many on this board are throwing stones. Metallica is playing there a little before the Stones but no one’s bitching about that. If you can’t afford the tickets then make more money. If you want to bitch at someone bitch at the promoter. He’s setting the ticket prices. The Stones get paid a set fee per show.

Peace, Out!

You say that the stones get paid a set fee per show but you neglect to mention that the fee is fuxxing huge therefore forcing the hand of the promoter. It is simple mathematics the promoter is forced to set ticket prices at a certain level in relation to the fee payed to the artist.

Well I'm ordinarily more sympathetic to people's financial situation but let's face it, the Stones are THE marquee band and they even initiated the Lucky Dip ticket situation which makes it more than affordable to go to a show.

If you're not able to afford this special show, then that is too bad but complaining about it or blaming the band is ridiculous.

Just had a really good experience on Mega Seats - got a pit ticket about 300-400 under what Stub Hub, SeatGeek, TickPick, and Vivid were asking. The ticket has already transferred. This was a much better experience that what I went through that wretched day with Ticketmaster when they wouldn’t accept payment from my device. I was worried about Mega Seats but they were great. It was interesting - about 2 minutes after I paid I got a ping from Ticketmaster saying that I had a ticket to accept into my account. I actually was pretty surprised it worked!

Oh! I looked up promo codes for Megaseats and used this one…. PLPRSPOOKY21 and I got 20% off. The prices look higher than they turn out to be - pick a ticket and then go to pay for it and you will see the discounted price. There is a place for the promo code and when I put it in it worked to bring the price down some more. Hope this helps. They say that have over 800 seats available.
