This import version of The Stones' second U.K. album was called The Rolling Stones, Now! in the U.S. (and was their third release in the States). Track-wise, the two albums don't entirely match up, as some songs from this were released in the U.S. on 12 X 5, which was their second stateside album. Still with us? Who cares, Brian Jones' guitar playing is absolutely filthy on "Down Home Girl," "I Can't Be Satisfied" and, especially, "What a Shame." Don't miss the solo in "Off the Hook" either. The Stones were about as badass as a band could be around this time.

The American release, The Rolling Stones Now, was my go to album for years. I played it stoned, played it straight, played it when happy, played it when blue, played it for folks to give them an idea of the musical power of the Stones, played it just to groove on. Down Home Girl is one of the best r&b songs ever done by the Stones. Lots to find on those old albums, boys and girls. They're why many of us came to love the band.

I bought this download album in february 2021, all songs are made in a new kind of 'electronicly reprozessed stereo', but the album is full of errors and dropouts (TIOMS, PIMH, DHG) ! They used the "RS No.2" tracklist, but included the ENSTL version from "RS Now" instead of the long european version.

I listened to TP4's The Rolling Stones, No. 2 on Qobuz. It sucks!
