I saw them at US Festival 83 - terrible.
Eddie Van Halen was a great guitar player.
Ain't Talkin' Bout Love is a killer tune.

One of the funniest things I've seen is the video of when Roth smashed his nose with the microphone during the Jimmy Kimmel live taping in 2015.
Was almost about to head down there the day of (I think Dan was there?)... Hollywood Blvd. blocked off, but realized it would probably be terrible...even worse than in '83...it was.

Sorry to see him go off in to the sunset...he was kind of a harmless goofball...

I'm sure none of the remaining band members can remember the US Festival. A weekend of booze and drugs for them. They did get paid 1.5 million which was a Guinness Book record back then and the hard rock/metal day drew a lot more than either of the other days.

I was backstage at the US Festival. DLR was drunk and obnoxious.

So what you're really saying is DLR was drunk.

To me sounds like DLR is a very wise man . I am being as serious as a heart attack and not kidding . If one has the funds saved up why should he or she take crap from crappy people ? Enough already ! I totally respect DLR choice !

I would have respected him more if he never did Just a Gigolo

Everybody has a embarrassing song

Roth had Just A Gigolo

Steve Miller had Abracadabra

Chuck Berry had My Ding A Ling

The Stones had Shattered

Shattered? LOL!

Streets Of Love is their most embarrassing song, on top of quite a few others that don't come close to the brilliance of Shattered.

I agree. They have many songs worse than Shattered (which I love).

Also, NONE of these artists sent the checks back for their embarrassing songs.

First off, you "wouldn't never pick you as a partner" says you would pick - not exactly sure who you were commenting to, Cool or Elmo - every time.

But if you meant you'd never pick, that's an entire different thing.

So sorry you can't spot a great song. You wouldn't know so you lose anyway.

Or, based on what you said, you do know a great song. Excellent! You'd win in a music trivia game EVERY TIME!

John5 has put out an actual video for the song with old pics/clips of VH from the 70s. Good video, not bad song. Kind of reminds me of Damn Good, a song of his from the Skyscraper album in 88. Drummer Greg Bissonette from his original solo band plays drums on this song, which was recorded in early 07 before DLR rejoined VH.

A bit confusing, the music was put on Youtube by DLR a few days ago. Then John 5, the guitarist on the song which he cowrote, released the video for it on his Youtube yesterday and then DLR put it out on his channel today!
