...I compared Charlie's drum style to a dancer that glides across the floor, where as Steve Jordan walks like an elephant as the phrase goes.
Really takes the band from being guitar driven to the guitars trying to cut through the drumming.

If they had bowed out after Charlie's passing they would have earned my eternal respect. Now it feels like a freak show to me. The song Doom and Gloom has become reality.Jagger doesn't look like a front man but a ring leader, a subtle difference. But I do respect the fans who feel differently.

Listen to the Winos ballads: “Make No Mistake,” “Locked Away,” “Hate It When You Leave,” “Demon.” He absolutely could play dynamically and with a light touch.

Hate it when you leave - no light touch, rather extensive drumming [www.youtube.com]

What do you mean by “extensive”?

Louder, more frequent and having that high pitch "crashing end". Listen to Stones ballads how dynamic and gentle drumming sounds, Hate it when you leave is not that case. Jordan starts a rhythm and goes with it through the whole song, kind of machine-like precision.

Listen, there’s no accounting for taste. There’s really no right or wrong here. But I enjoy a lot of “pop” in a snare drum. Charlie did, too.

Okay so for everone who's expecting a sincere tribute at the upcoming shows, if this doesn't do it for you, you're going to be disappointed. It's the only thing possible in their onstage mindset
Playingthese shows for billionaires is not appealing. Be The Cockroaches again and sneak into small clubs where us regular fans might beQuote

Am I the only one to whom this seems rather seedy and depressing?
You’re not the only one, no.

"This is the first show of our 2021 tour. So this it… This a try-out .. for us.
I must say though, it’s a bit of a poigniant night for us. This is the first tour in fifty-nine years that we’ve done without our lovely Charlie Watts. And we all miss Charlie so much. We miss him as a band. We miss him as a friend. On and off the stage and we’ve got so many memories of Charlie and I’m sure some of you that have seen us before have got memories of Charlie as well.
And I hope you will remember him like we do. So we’d like to dedicate this show to Charlie.
So let’s have a drink! To Charlie!"
