Merle and George in video 2. What a trippy thing. Hard to say who has the worst looking hair. But, boy could they sing. On another note, the man who gave us white boy blues, Hank Williams, was born 98 years ago today. Crack open yourself a beer, pour a hit of JD over rocks, sip a cup of tea or imbibe your special herb, listen to anyone of these guys and revel in what country music was and should be.

Although I generally prefer Merle Haggard, "He Stopped Loving Her Today" is one of my fave country songs ever. Got to see Merle a few times, both fantastic shows & George once. He was pretty good but not transcendent like Merle.
