...aside from You Can't Always Get What You Want?

Been listening to all my Stones albums since Wednesday, and when this one came up I wondered if that's the only song he doesn't drum on or if there are others.

From what I can find here are two others: Shine A Light and IORR.

On all the other so far mentioned songs in this thread Charlie plays some percussion instrument (at least according to the Track Talks)

Surprised there are so many, I have a hard time imagining a band where one member is suddenly not on a song. But then again, I realise that with the Stones things are different, they've recorded in dozens of different studios and they're not always all on the same continent at the same time!

Taylor may be on IORR.Maybe an overdub ?The rhythm guitar in the left channel does not sound like Keith.It sounds like Taylor on Star Star.The one that sounds like one of the Bang the Gong guitars

Originally he was not on any (or most) of ABB, maybe. If memory serves, when the sessions took place he was still undergoing (or recuperation from) his throat cancer treatment. I can't quite recall if (or where) he rcorded the drum tracks later on, or if the final recording sessions of the tracks as they ended up on ABB included him on drums. Someone here certainly knows more, or knows where to look it up ...

It's amazing he missed only a few songs in all those years. The band used to record at all kinds of crazy times and off the wall places and he was always there, working on Keith hours. That speaks to enormous patience and also an enjoyment of working on his part along with Keith. It may also be that they didn't turn the tape machine on until he was there.

So, can someone here compile a full list?
