This may have been asked before but I wondered where the footage from US 1972 was from.?? I don’t think it’s from ladies and gentlemen.
Perhaps if anyone has a list of the concerts on this film I would be very interested..
Thanks

"Footage from those other films is used judiciously, so one gets a sense of what the great travelling circus of the 1972 tour was like from excerpts from C*cksucker Blues" - [www.TheGuardian.com] .

I meant the c*cksucker blues film. Could they edit together all the covert footage from it for an official release??

Yes I agree maybe should be a crossfire hurricane volume 2.
I had forgotten how much the Rolling Stones and Mick seemed to push the zeitgeist or cultural envelope in the early days!!

Didn't they record some rehearsal sessions too for that movie, possibly with Wyman ?

Not while they're all still alive and not in the type of world we live in now IMO

Isn’t the concert scene with the ping pong balls from the Australia 1973 tour

I have to go back and watch Crossfire Hurricane again. I remember really enjoying it the first time, more than most Stones history compilations.

I don't see why they could not release CS Blues, its pretty tame compared to whats out there in other genres of music, or even in rock and roll. It would probably come down to Mick not wanting to sully his rep.

I remember watching an old vhs of 25x 5 and seeing Keith I think saying that a lot of scenes in CS blues were contrived for the cameras. It’s the quality of the concert footage that is brilliant and of interest surely. So a volume 2 of crossfire hurricane would be great I think….or a packaging of CS blues concert footage

the scene while "no expectations" is playing where
brian walks out of the studio with his large instrument
(is it a sitar ?) must be an outtake from
rock'n'roll circus
