Nikkei, listen to her single "Go Easy On Me" on Youtube. She has a very good soul voice. No doubt about it. She isn't just a media hype. That doesn't say I would listen to the whole album or visit a gig...
But I always admit quality when I see it. Doesn't matter which genre.

She is no Amy Winehouse though. Too bad she didn't have Keef's genes.

When a band should stop?
When they can't sell tickets anymore?
When they can't put up a good show anymore?
When they are bored about playing?
When they can't make new music anymore?
When some core member is no more?

I don't know, some fit the stones some don't. I see the same old show on repeat for ages and I think: why? Then I listen to some MR or the good live version of GT or 19thnb and I think: so they still have got it in them. i understand and KNOW the difference between yt clips and the feel of a show of theirs, but, the question is there and i hope they do not see just the first as their option because with a good marketing today you might find a lot of people with cash willing to buy the opportunity to "see the phenomenon" of eighy years old cats on stage

Divorce album? Well, BLOOD ON THE TRACKS covered that one once and for all for me...

Stones did a divorce album long before .....

Beggars Banquet ... They divorced themselves from psychedelia ....;

Thank heavens, not completely, but still much, too much for one, who loves certain psychedelic music! What there were of psychedelia before BEGGARS BANQUET, one will find something of in "Can You Hear the Music" and "Continental Drift". Besides, something of soul/ funk psychedelia in "Rain Fall Down".

The local TV reported on that recent Adele
concert in LA .... the shots of the
audience and the seating looked like torture...
So many goody-two shoes all grinning at her ...
theyd have ta tranq me up BIG time ....drag me
in a straight jacket......bolt open me eyes ...

Report edited in a bit of the Oprah interview man they
looked like two cream puffs talkin' to each other ....
I thought any minute that Harry and Megham would step
out of the bushes and join the suck-club ....

Then they cut back ta Adele moan singin' dumb like
to the new boyfriend with the torn-knee jeans ....zzzzz
OH god it pained me deep and this was only a 90 sec TV report ....

No No gimmie that ramshackle blues band .... thats what i need

Well said that man!

Defintely not!

I've not been able to see this tour but from the Youtube clips I've seen, they still deliver.

If they still enjoy it and are capable, why not carry on? I do not believe that they would go on stage if they didn't truly believe that they can still deliver.

I love the fact that my favourite band is still fighting against adversity, old age, Covid (must be one of the few legendary bands/performers that have braved a stadium tour so soon) and the loss of our dear Charlie.

It's the Stones, this is just what they do!

Would any of you stop right before your 60th anniversary, if you still were able to perform?

Of course not.

Another thought is that if the Stones float your boat then by all means knock your self out and enjoy yourself . As it's freedom of choice to entertain oneself as they see fit .

If you ask me Amy Winehouse had talent up the wazzo and in comparison to Adele who I believe voice is one dimensional . Reminds of a "Torch " singer (K.D. Lang ) like the lady who came to prominence in the late 80's early 90's .

This is what we're replying to (from the opening poster):

Now when the backbone of the Stones no longer can take part of the bands future work then it's time to ask then question if the Stones should stop rolling or not.

After they have celebrated their 60th anniversary with a (hopefully) long tour, I would be surprised if they didn't call it quits, at least tour-wise.

Touring must be brutal at that age.

They can always do a residency like Aerosmith and Billy Joel do.

It's just unbelievable and great to see them still rolling! How giftet we are! Everything more is even a bigger gift. The day of their last show us aproaching but nobody will be sure which one it is...
Mick Jagger seems to be in an unbelievable constitution and Keith is able to hold his guitar and play some great swinging riffs. Ron Wood is playing very well, Steve Jordan is powerfull and has found his position in the band.
So, lets see what happens...

In what sense? Musically? As much as I loved Amy Winehouse's music, I don’t believe she was any more talented than Adele. It’s just so tragic that Winehouse left us, though. Her music was truly a soundtrack for urban U.K. life.
