It's entirely possible that they are preparing something for the pre-show video before the band hits the stage. I like the idea of kicking off the show with a video of Charlie playing an opening drum riff, like GOMC, with the band joining in synch with a flash of lights and loud guitars.

HBK

This has my vote and overwhelming approval...won't be a dry in the house.

Yeah I'd be very surprised if they didn't do something very special like that, they loved the guy and they know the audience loved him, so why not !

I'll say that I was also a bit puzzled not to see any mention whatsoever on their website, but then what are they going to do that would "work", can't be a quick note, can't be a full "portfolio", between a rock and a hard place :-(

It will be pretty sad when there will be only three of them for the final bow

As for final bows, there could be a bow of Mick, Keith, Ronnie, Steve Jordan and Darryl Jones, and then bow of Mick and Keith only.

As suggested here - [iorr.org] - final bow in 2 parts: first 'new' members (1975+2021) and then last (and longer) the two originals from 1962.

I think that would be disrespectful to Mr. Wood. He is an official member of the band, and he has been with them considerably longer than Bill Wyman was.

And had Charlie lived he wouldn't either be included in that final bow...

Also: a final bow of all 4 (with Steve Jordan) could imply that Charlie would simply be replaceable.

He’s implying that Charlie wasn’t there in 1962. He’s being sarcastic toward some of the suggestions

I think we can trust them to work it out - I'm guessing Steve Jordan will bow with the other non-principals and wouldn't want it otherwise, but it's up to them. We, and no doubt they, will feel a Charlie sized hole in the line-up whatever they do. For myself, I don't really see any but very superficial parallels between this loss and the departures of Jones, Taylor and Wyman but what do I know?

First the large group bow.

Then Mick, Keith and Ronnie bow.

Then a picture of Charlie on ALL 4 screens, with Mick, Keith and Ronnie turning to bow to Charlie.

And the crowd will chant CHARLIE, CHARLIE, CHARLIE for a very long time.

Many of us will cry a fountain of tears.

thumbs up That could work.

The picture of Charlie (like on RS.com, with 1941-2021) should stay on the 4 screens until the stadium lights come up.

Yep, no need for fireworks. Just Charlie’s picture.

Yep, no need for fireworks.

They could do the fireworks as part of the last song [like during the B2B-Tour].

After that the final bows (as described by you) and the band-members leaving the stage calmly while Charlie's picture stays on the screens until the stadium lights come up.

With respect, it is extremely annoying that they use samples which are more than half a century old to promote a current tour. This clip is stupid and not tasteful. Do I try to tell the men in the band what to do? No! Yet it would be sad if the Stones ended their unique career with stupidity and emptiness.

Maybe there's a better thread for this, but in the last week I've seen two shows in which the artist "teased" a Stones song going into one of their own.

Last Thursday, Sheryl Crow (in her opening set for Chris Stapleton) teased "Heartbreaker" before going into "There Goes The Neighborhood", and then last night at the Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago, Cat Power sang a bit of "Shattered" before going into "Manhattan".

I know there's been some artists doing full song tributes (Jason Isbell doing Moonlight Mile and CYHMK for example) but the little nods have been fun to hear too.

God, it's still a bummer. I watched/listened to the San Jose '99 Blu Ray the other night. To me it was the last great tour. It was only 4/5ths of the Stones, but Charlie and Keith really brought up the slack. They were never as good after Bill left, and will be much, much less without Charlie. It really feels like a death in the family. Of a relative you liked.
