Paul’s “Let ‘Em In,” is horrendous. Very worthy of the cringe.
This is hidious and at the time it proved that Mick didn't write 50% of Stones songs, it proved Keith is very generous when it comes to sharing song writing credits and loyalties.
I do not react against the melody really. It is all about the lyrics. How much I may adore Mick Jagger, for me that lyrics approaches the despisable, coming from one who has had the talent AND the luck to gain success and, eventually, financial riches by following ones's passion to play popular music. From that privileged viewpoint, I think you have no moral right to speak that way, even through a pop song, towards all people, who have uninteresting routine jobs.

This was a man with a wealth for sure but surely with no taste... I think releasing "Let's Work" as a leading single off the album was Mick's worst career choice ever... That doomed PRIMITIVE COOL, and most likely, his solo career. The only way I got to understand "what the hell Mick was thinking" is that he - if not totally coked-up - was thinking in terms of high risk and high reward - that maybe this sort of over-the-top thing might hit the times well. The 80's were crazy times and whatever kind of odd (horrible) things turned to be huge hits - but they were not that crazy...
Probably Maggie Thatcher liked it, I don't know...
But looking now, in retrospect, fatal mistakes like this just adds the story and makes it more funny and fascinating... Mick and we all survived the 80's, didn't we? And, if anything else, what would be the tale of Keith Richards without Mick's failures...

The all time cringe worthy song has to be "Henry The 8th". Really, Peter Noone in general gets on my nerves.

I find most all of Paul's post breakup stuff pretty cringeworthy, several notable exceptions aside. All that Venus and Mars stuff, eh, sounds like grade schooler stuff. Live and Let Die, now there's a song. They were few and far between unfortunately.
And to further skewer the legendary, John Lennon's post breakup was pretty cringeworthy if you ask me. The Beatles really needed each other to rein in the excesses of the individual members. To me, Ringo came out looking the best just by keeping his head (mostly) down and doing some simple fun stuff and being wise enough to surround himself with the best musicians available.

Air Supply’s “I’m All Out Of Love” may be the most ball less piece of music ever written.
I like some Joan Jett songs. Bad Reputation and Cherry Bomb are keepers, however, Do You Wanna Touch Me is indeed cringeworthy.
For that matter, so is Pat Benstar’s cover of Kate Bush’s Wuthering Heights.

I like Billy Joel, but his last record in 1993 had some cringe stuff like "Blonde Over Blue" and "All About Soul" - I guess that's why he stopped making records.
