Stones saxophonist Karl Denson postponed his bay area shows this weekend after coming down with covid. Says next weekend shows in the PNW are still on...for now.

Some shows will be a tribute to David Bowie, featuring Bernard Fowler on vocals.

The New Orleans Jazz Fest is still on last I knew. A lot of other shows are still on. This article, albeit 11 days old at this point, provides a spring outlook.

However COVID is for whoever however, getting mugged, carjacked or killed in New Orleans is probably a more serious issue in 2022 - it's just rolled over from 2021 with no drop off. For years the saying has been 'Preservation through neglect' and it's really taken on a new more in-depth meaning lately.

I was stoked to go to JF last year... but this year I'm leaning towards Hell no, even if it means not seeing someone for (possibly) the last time.

KISS and Kings of Leon also have tour dates book in Australia for March and April.

I remember when KISS postponed, they said "Let's get these vaccination numbers up and then we'll come rock you guys in March" or something to that effect. Australia has 90% vaccination rates, and is still locked the @#$%& down. Good luck with all that. I'll be surprised if any foreign act tours there in 2022.

Wilco's Sky Blue Sky festival in Cancun has been a total cluster. The promoter has refused to postpone or cancel it & says they don't have money for refunds. On top of this, some fans were in a horrible car wreck on the way to the hotel from the airport. They were in a taxi van. I've been on that road. Story below, along with a go fund me link for a few of the fans who were hurt. 1 person in the van was killed. Prayers up for the survivors.

Harry Styles just announced dates for his 2022 tour. Begins in June in The UK, continues across Europe and ends up in South America in December. Good news for concert fans! He managed to reschedule all shows postponed from 2020 to Fall 2021.

I had tickets for the original Greek Theater L.A. 2019 date pre-pandemic, but when pandemic hit it was postponed indefinitely and eventually I was able to get a refund.
It was then rescheduled to May 2021, postponed again, and then rescheduled again to this May 2022...there might have even been a rescheduled/postponed date in 2020?
Complete madness...Not sure how many people are still holding on to original tickets from 2019, but for their sake I hope the show goes on!

In Norway we got a limit of max 50 people in an indoor crowd as of Dec. 7 last year. Then most concerts and events was canceled. Last week Friday Jan 14 the limit was changed from 50 to 200. Still everything canceled except very small events.

Just heard the entire Madness tour was cancelled...evidently it was announced a week or so ago, but just now hearing about it.
A bit odd as they weren't suppose to play in L.A. until May after multiple postponements and reschedules, but guess they figured not worth the effort with the possibility of yet another postponement looming.
For those still hanging on to tix from pre-pandemic - the mood went from gladness to madness, and now to sadness..................
