Love em or hate em, KISS always puts on a great show, lots of lasers/pyro. I saw on ticketmaster two days ago there were lots of tickets still available for the show. I was wondering if there were lots of empty seats in the upper bowl and grass area or did they do a groupon and basically give them away just to fill the venue?
My brother has tickets for The Gorge in Washington State for next month. Canadians can't cross the border yet and looking at ticketmaster again, there's tons of tickets for sale so even trying to resell them will be difficult.

I've chosen to postpone the next three shows in Wichita, KS (8/10), Kansas City, MO (8/11) and Oklahoma City, OK (8/12) so that our team can take a second to redesign our personal health and safety protocols and hopefully increase the safety of venue staff and especially you, the fans. On the flip side, artists that are following Isbell (and others) lead are, imo, the ones that have gotten this thing right.
Just like the virus, that's subject to change with rising cases, but- someone like Neil Young pulling out because he would somehow feel responsible if someone were to catch the virus at the vax or proof Farm Aid, is absurd imo, and the wrong approach/message- caving to those that are unvaxxed, as opposed to banishing them from the event (or travel, entertainment, employment, etc).

The vax or proof requirement reduces the already minuscule chance that a vaxxed person is going to get seriously ill or die from attending a show substantially.
The rest is on the individual to consider.

I went to three fantastic Isbell/Lucinda shows in Austin.
I masked etc while traveling, took all the standard precautions, got tested when I returned, and essentially isolated myself from people outside my vaxxed family for the last week and a half. So worth the extremely small risk, as again, it's not the vaxxed people filling up the hospitals.

In a Q&A, the rocker talks about why these requirements are essential to avoiding another live-music shutdown, why he credits capitalism for the move to adapt new measures, and why he engages adversaries on social media

Rocker Jason Isbell may usually have one of the funniest celebrity accounts on Twitter, but when it comes to his engagement with other users on subjects related to the COVID explosion in the last year and a half, it’s been no laughing matter — or at least a subject of acerbic gallows humor, at most. And he’s not just a social-media or magazine-profile warrior. In early August, he started putting his touring livelihood where his mouth is, declaring that henceforth only patrons who could show proof of vaccination could get in… even if that meant he had to cancel gigs at venues of festivals that can’t or won’t allow the requirement, which he has.

In the second week of August, that was a lonely stand to take. By the third week of the month, he had company, not just from some like-minded artists and venues, but from concert business giants AEG and Live Nation. The former promoter will be instituting a similar vaccinations-required policy for its owned-and-operated venues beginning in October; the latter will be requiring either a vax card or a recent negative test for its owned halls, arenas and amphitheaters. But the business — or the individual states — may have to learn some lessons the hard way before everyone joins Isbell in making this an industry-wide norm.

LOS ANGELES- August 18th, 2021- Since restarting the tour in July, The Garth Brooks Stadium Tour has entertained over 300,000 fans across the first 5 cities. Now, with a new wave of the Covid-19 virus spreading across the nation, the tour has arrived at the very difficult decision of cancelling and refunding approximately 350,000 tickets in the tour's next 5 cities.

For ticket holders, no action is required to obtain a refund; Ticketmaster will issue a refund to the original method of payment used at time of purchase.

"In July, I sincerely thought the pandemic was falling behind us. Now, watching this new wave, I realize we are still in the fight and I must do my part. I have asked the wonderful cities of Cincinnati and Charlotte to wait too long and I don't want to now do that same thing to the great folks in Boston and Baltimore. As far as Nashville, we are looking for a make up date from the July rain out and though this is not COVID related, to make them wait makes me sad, as well. So, it is with a heavy heart we announce the decision to cancel all 5 shows but with a hopeful heart, we will reschedule and start over when this wave seems to be behind us," said Garth Brooks.

The 5 concert locations being cancelled are Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati, scheduled for September 18th, Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, scheduled for September 25th, M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, scheduled forOctober 2nd, Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, scheduled for October 9th and Nissan Stadium in Nashville which has not been rescheduled yet.

"The joy I have seen in everyone's faces as live music returns has been more than worth our constant diligence to maintain safety protocols not only for the fans, but for our band, the crew and the hard working staff in these stadiums. Their dedication to safety for the people who fill those seats has been a miracle to watch and a blessing to receive. I am truly grateful."

A spokesperson for the tour said the team will continue to monitor the virus' impact and watch how schools, sports, and other entertainment entities are handling this stage of the pandemic. "I'm sincerely hoping we are back on tour before the year's end," said Brooks. Farmaid and the Pandemic

Lots is going on in our world right now. I find myself wondering whether Farmaid will be safe for everyone with the Covid pandemic surging. I worry about that. I don’t want to let anybody down, but still can’t shake the feeling that it might not be safe for everyone. I worry about audiences coming together in these times. The show is sold out.

All you people who can’t go to a concert because you still don’t feel safe, I stand with you. I don’t want you to see me playing and think it’s safe now. I don’t want to play until you feel safe, and it is indeed, safe.

My soul tells me it would be wrong to risk having anyone die because they wanted to hear music and be with friends.

No matter where you are. I am with you. Do what you must, but think it through. We will be back. There is much work to do together.

Since we know vaccinated people can catch and spread Covid, I worry about the children who could become infected after Farmaid, just by being with someone, maybe a parent, who caught the virus at Farmaid and didn't know it. There are already too many children in hospitals.

While I respect Willie, John and Dave's decisions to stick with it and play, I am not of the same mind. It is a tough call.

The Fair confirmed to Bring Me The News that the group had travel issues coming back from Europe, so had to cancel their Aug. 26 and Aug. 27 shows at the Leinie Lodge Bandshell Stage.”

Over here in Germany, Elton Johns arena shows, scheduled for October 2020, postponed to Sep/Oct 2021 have now been rescheduled to May 2023 (!). Yes, 2023 that is.
