Mick collects homes like most of us collect shoes. Must be nice.

Glad they reminded people about this...

The area is described by local media as "one of the most beautiful and evocative places" in the region which last week registered a temperature of 48.8 degrees Celsius, a new European heat record.

48.8C, for the unenlightened is 119.8F.

Now we know why Matt Lee's new book is called "Hot Stuff".

He's obviously got taste. He's picking the beautiful spots rather than the sports where the rich and famous go.
In Tuscany it was Castagneto and now it is this spot in Syracuse.
Italians tell me they are impressed by his choice

At the very same time the weather in Touraine where he owns another house was closer to 20°C (that's 68°F for your primitive people). grinning smiley

Guess he'll able to juggle between his "cribs" during the summer...

Is Sicily safe for a rich man with his family? When I think Sicily I think mafia. May be I am wrong to think that way. No disrespect for the people of Sicily who are great people like the rest of us.

Yes, considering the heat it's a strange choice. But on the other hand, he has probably 10-15 houses/flats/castles/islands around the world. Very convenient for a tax dodger.
So he moves around. He must have a staff though maintaining and guarding all his property.

That's why I would rather call it his "newest house" He's essentially homeless.

I doubt Mick picked Sicily as a place to spend the summer.

And while the mafia exists on Sicily, I don't think Mick has much to worry about from them unless he intends to start a carting company or something like that.

Interesting that the pix of Mick in his Santa Floss sweater has him in a garden of cactus. The cactus to his left appears to be a saguaro. These are generally found only in the Sonoran desert unless this is a botanical garden somewhere else with imported cacti. The other cacti in the photo also lend support to the Sonoran location. I wonder if he has a home here.
