Good evening, this is the intercalactic operator, can I help you?

I was starving for songs with a melody at that time, and along came this utter elevator music, at Sky Channel. Even Bryan Ferry`s "Slave To Love" was better, but not much, not to mention "Walking On The Chinese Wall" by Phillip Bayley, which was a lot better.

Dynel hair, aluminum foil costumes, cheesy special effects, elevator semi-disco music...what's not to like about this video. It reminded me of a bad sci-fi movie from the 1950s that shows up on Turner Classic movies every once in awhile - Queen of Outer Space. Here'sthe teaser for the movie:

I only heard this weird tune for the first time s couple of years ago (and I can remember the exact spot, sitting on s veranda on an island of Belize)and I love it. Kind of mournful, groovy and odd.

Yeah, I know that.

I read up on Richard A Hewson too, an interesting life.
