There have been talks about two Stones shows at Hyde Park this summer. This one might be the first of these.

If you follow links even further you get to a list that has Elton playing there on 24th June and The Eagles on 26th June.
Is it really possible for three huge bands to perform on three consecutive evenings and still get the stage/stages and all the equipment sorted out?

Yes, like in 2013. There are something like 4 support acts each day before the headliner too. The stage is the same every day. They will just build a catwalk for the Stones and get rid of it right after the concert

Good to hear, that would be consistent with the two French festivals first mentioned last summer, Garorock at the end of June (they had the 26th so that wouldn't work too well with HP) and Vieilles Charrues (dates are 14/07 to 17/07).
Would have preferred to see the Stones in a non-festival setting, but if that's all there is...

Nothing happened in 2020. Nothing! Not even the 2020 Summer Olympics. They happened in 2021!!! There were crowd limitations most places, and no vaccine, a very scary time, people got sick and died, so 2020 is the "lost year". But ... we got "Living In A Ghost Town". And ... they were able to play it live during the pandemic, during the 2021 tour, it says a lot.
I am still impressed about the fact that The Rolling Stones managed to tour and perform in front of packed stadiums through their fall 2021 tour. That is a proof of the fact that they will for sure tour this summer.

As someone from Canada, I was shocked the Detroit show had no mask or vaccine mandates, as they did here. But I went and it was fantastic of course. They did indeed have perfect timing last year, right in between variant waves. Very impressive.

Bon Jovi and the Stones played back to back nights in Hyde Park in 2013 with completely different crowd tiers/setups without issues. I went to both shows.

Yes, like in 2013. There are something like 4 support acts each day before the headliner too. The stage is the same every day. They will just build a catwalk for the Stones and get rid of it right after the concert

well, I'm not very keen to see them in Hyde Park. I'd prefer an indoor arena or at least some stadium (with clean facilities etc.)

It seems like the 2022 tour will be like the tour they did in 2018. Some UK, some mainland Europe. I hear about venue queries at several sites in Europe. The challenge is still covid-19 regulations, border control, access limitations and so on.

I made accommodation plans for the June date as well. Not sure if I'll be able to spend another week in London (and go see another open air show - if there is one on July 3rd - but we shall see.

There's still all kinds of residences/inns, B&B's and the like. Not just proper hotels.

Hoping that what BV has said about 'some UK' comes to fruition as i'm personally hoping for a good seat in a stadium or arena rather than the huge Hyde Park standing crowd again! That said I found a reasonable hotel for the night on booking.com just a few minutes walk away just in case. I imagine if these rumours gain traction the prices will ramp up in all local hotels......
