OT Melancholy Suggestions

Things are going pearshaped. Estranged from my young family, job about to collapse, car struggling. Send me your soul-balm, soothing music.

If it's from the deep side of Stones bootlegs, solo tunes that's great. Any other tunes that'll aid my beer and melancholia, I would surely appreciate them.

Dude. Sad to hear your story. Believe me though: The beer won't help.
Physical exercise, healthy food and good night's sleep will also not change the world but you'll be better equipped dealing with it.
Take care

Get off your ass and fix your life. You got yourself into it, now get yourself out of it. Start now, don't drink alcohol it will only make things worse.

That's the best advice you can get

Re my earlier comment, I do not advocate drinking as a way of escape though it seems so. Nor do I advocate doing anything else that is destructive to yourself or others. Music is generally the huge part of my therapy re dealing with the sh*t life can throw our way and I listen to a wide range of music to get my head even as I sing along. Advocate the same for all here, but choose your songs wisely.

Buy a blow-up doll ...
put it in her car .. set it alight and send
it over a cliff while listening to Under My Thumb ...

Then get the hell outta there before the blue boys arrive .....

A few months ago I was so depressed I couldn't even listen to music.

So I just smoked weed and played the Grateful Dead.

Smoking weed and listening to the Grateful Dead while in a state of depression...hmmm...talk about putting one's self into a loop of endless ennui and shoreless oceans.

The first 7 months of Covid were the best of my life, then it started to unravel. Badly. Still not all together right.

Earlier in the week I was kinda pissed that both Primus and the Stones are the same night but if they were tonight I wouldn't go to either.

It's the bottomless bucket of raw recordings to process that give me some sort of purpose in life. Check out the 2nd to last Curtis Mayfield show I just stumbled across.

I suggest you talk to a counselor...there are plenty of counselors ...FREE through insurance...they can free your mind, explain that you're not alone in your struggle. This is a horrible time to be alive...with Covid, Global Warming, and just so many out of control folks...sometimes we all need to speak with someone who doesn't know us, who can be totally objective. It can't hurt! Good luck, hope you feel better soon....and put down the BOOZE! That makes things 1000 times worse!
