Maybe the last ones ever? What do you think? First asked in 1965...

There is almost certainly going to be a Charlie Watts Tribute show in the very near future and can't imagine them not participating.

Otherwise if all is well next year we will see them again.

Also I heard it was Charlie who insisted they play 15 shows only a year. Not sure if they will expand on that or if they are comfortable with that pace.

But you never know. I saw the last ever Ten Years After (original) and Van Halen shows and yet no one expected that was how it would play out.

Touring is beneficial to their physical and financial health as well as our emotional health. May the good lord shine a light on them for many more years.

On the 7th day God created The Rolling Stones

Rolling Stones Tour Grosses Over $10 Million per Show

The Stones have plotted three of the highest-grossing concert tours of all time. Their 2005-07 A Bigger Bang road trip drew $558.3 million, placing them fourth overall behind Ed Sheeran ($776.2 million in 2017-19), U2 ($736.4 million in 2009-11) and Guns N’ Roses ($584.2 million in 2016-19).

Ed Sheeran - 255 shows.

U2 (360)- 110 shows.

The Rolling Stones (A BIGGER BANG) - 147 shows.

A lot of perspective there. U2 eclipsed the Stones money and attendance records by shows 73 and 78.

Its very likely depending on tour routing. Short flight from SF. If they do pre-tour rehearsals might be up for spending some time outside. By then we should have the new wireless receivers.

They were going to kick this one off in Van. Covid said.. not so fast.
I'd say odds are pretty good it would kick off there next time.

Vancity was #2.

The sad thing is that if they would've scheduled Vancouver at the end of the tour, aka right about now, it could've gone ahead and happened.

Maybe 2022 can be half Europe and half Canada.

I believe they can absolutely sell a lot of tickets in Vancouver, Edmonton, Regina and/or Winnipeg, Ottawa and/or Toronto, Quebec and one of the far eastern cities they played on ABB.

Definitely, pretty much guaranteed all would be sellouts. Hell, Regina only has 250000 people and they sold out 2 shows back in 06, almost 80000 tickets!

I would easily go to all of those shows if that happened.

They can play the famous Commodore Ballroom, seen several shows there over the years.

Royal Albert Hall has got 5 free days in first week of December... Very unusual for the venue which is usually super busy with all sorts of events.

Any idea if special Charlie memorial show(s) might be actually held there?

Love that place.. would be the ultimate Vancouver spot for them to do a warm up show.

Just hearing they will likely be back this way in '24, and undoubtably will have Vancouver in the mix, lifts my spirits immensely as this tour winds down smileys with beer

The next US Tour will be in 2024. But before that, Europe 2022.

Remember the history of shows in USA during the past years:

2012
2013
2015
2016
2019
2021

So no worries they will return to North America.

Still, one day it will all end, we all know that. Meanwhile, they keep touring.

Bjornulf: What is the speculation for 2023? South America or Asia?

I like to think it would be after Xmas if it is happening, they would have announced it already if it was in Dec.

Yes, there are. Those events at Elgar Room are just very small events at a cafe next to main RAH auditorium. Main hall is available for those few dates in a row which is indeed unusual for RAH, especially in usually busy December...

While it seems unlikely, can't help but think back to Charlie's statement when he bowed out of this leg, that he looked forward to rejoining the band "later this year".

Most assumed he must have been referring to next year, and obviously he wouldn't have been referring to his own memorial, but it did seem to imply the boys had something else on the burner for this year.
