Always nice to see the boys drop the mic on the doom and gloom crowd. They've been awfully quiet lately , after their near non-stop dire predictions leading up to the tour.

Because every tour is different, the only thing that matters is gross per show and on that the Stones are untouchable.

Always been curious what merchandise sales gross at shows.

Agreed! Predictions of masses not attending because of no Charlie, Covid, they’re too old, high ticket prices, etc. have been proven wrong.

I wonder what the attendance split at the 2 LA shows was? I’d have to think something like 30,000 at night 1 and 50,000 at night 2, right? The 17tg was pretty much sold out, whereas the 14th had a long way to go. Just wondering if anybody knows anything. People who were there, what did you see? Etc

Hard to tell really. Was in the pit on the 14th and all the up high seats looked pretty full when the Stones came on. Was in the second level on the 17th and it looked pretty full down below.

It is hard to tell.. night one seemed pretty full,
I'd guess 44k night two vs 37k+ night one.

since we haven't heard any new rumors about another additional show it's time to give up hope, isn't it?

With only two weeks before the grand finale in Hollywood, Fl, it seems time is running out...
In one sense it's a bit sad to think they'll be wrapping up another mini-tour here in the US, but on the other hand grateful to think this tour even happened at all given all the uncertainties, hurdles, etc.
At this late point of their career, hard to imagine they'll ever return to these shores again to tour (though anything is possible), so hopefully everyone who was willing and able had a chance to experience them.

Looking at the first 9 shows, they're all 100% sold out which is great, but really,the attendance numbers aren't that huge compared to the size of the venue. 42000 in the Cotton Bowl which holds about 90000 for football. Was the stage at midfield?

The stage was in the normal end stage spot. With Any end stage stadium show, the seats to the side and back of the stage are obviously not used. So you’re subtracting at least 1/3 of the capacity right off the bat. The show would’ve held more than 42,000, at that. But these days they have ways of strategically dispersing the audience so that people are spread out and the stadium appears full. Take U2 on the Popmart tour in 97. They sold 38,000 tickets, not much less than the Stones. But I’ve seen YouTube footage of that show, and at least half of the upper deck had no crowd. Back then they just sold the bear seats first and went back from there.

Most of these shows could’ve held considerably more people. But the high ticket prices, it’s still a financial triumph. Had they had more affordable options, they’d have had more butts in the seats, but the gross would ultimately be roughly the same.

Average ticket might be the highest of the tour, but I doubt it will surpass Denver in 2019-$13.5M

Denver had 58K if I remember correctly? That is a big number, and could be the difference...

After all these years, Oro-Medonte, ON is still about the only gig I can recall where we never got the numbers...

Austin, had they been able to keep the original date, along with several other supporting acts like this one would have likely been similar.
As it is now, it will be interesting to see how many they draw for it.

Except they are not. They are just being reported as 100% by the promoter and not all the tickets sold seem to be reported.

St Louis for example was 46,474 / 46,474 in the same venue in 1997 and full concert capacity likely closer to 52,000.

Since there are really only 2 promoters left (aside from the smaller players who rarely get access to this realm) the purpose and meaning of boxscores as well as the veracity of the information is in question.

These numbers likely don't count all the 5$ tickets and possibly platinums and tickets scalped out the back door.

I would say more than 30,000 night 1 and then close to whatever the actual capacity was for the 17th.

From where I was it looked about 80% full but there were a ridiculous amount of resale tickets that never sold and a lot released in the week prior that also never sold. Definitely more than GNR, probably not as many as Garth Brooks.

Got together with a friend in Paris who works for a promoter (reported to me first the 2017 opening of the UArena months in advance).
Things are heating up for June/July 2022, first reported by Zegut, Rumors of the Garorock Festival in Marmande are indeed very true. June 24 or 25, not set yet.
Would be the first festival in France for the Stones and very special..

2. Stade de France is on too. Date is not set yet.. It will be a week end show.
And he heard the Stones want to do a "small" venue in France... he didnt say much if it's a pretour show or a real date.. Bercy could be on the map..

Wanted to report ASAP to you guys.

Rolling Stones Tour Grosses Over $10 Million per Show



The Rolling Stones returned to the top of the highest-earning touring chart, grossing $10.1 million per show on their 2021 No Filter U.S. trek.

The figures were reported by industry publication Pollstar, which noted that the British veterans had also achieved 100 percent ticket sales at every performance.

They remain the only band to ever pass the $10 million threshold, having achieved the same feat during their pre-pandemic tour of 2019 – suggesting that, for the Stones at least, the negative financial effects of COVID-19 are over.

Pollstar’s Live 75 chart – the eligibility rules of which have been temporarily adjusted to allow for the pandemic – included seven shows from the U.S. stadium run, which sold an average of 43,073 tickets and grossed an average of $10,146,244. No other artist in the top 10 came close, with second-place singer Eric Church pulling an average of $1,607,516 from 15,889 ticket sales across seven shows.

The Stones have plotted three of the highest-grossing concert tours of all time. Their 2005-07 A Bigger Bang road trip drew $558.3 million, placing them fourth overall behind Ed Sheeran ($776.2 million in 2017-19), U2 ($736.4 million in 2009-11) and Guns N’ Roses ($584.2 million in 2016-19). The band's current tour is in ninth place so far, grossing $415.6 million since 2017 across 60 shows. They also landed at No. 20 with the 2004-05 Voodoo Lounge tour, which raked in $320 million.

The Stones' most recent dates mark the first time they’ve toured without drummer Charlie Watts, who died in August. Watts had already been replaced by longtime collaborator Steve Jordan in what was originally a temporary move. “The last thing I wanted to do was a Rolling Stones tour without Charlie,” guitarist Keith Richards said recently. “Charlie said, ‘Look, go on with Steve.’ Everyone [knows] that I’ve worked with Steve for 30 years, and he’d also worked with Mick [Jagger] and me over the last couple of years in the studio. So it was kind of a seamless transition.”

Richards added: “I can almost feel Charlie smiling down on us every night. You’ve got to roll with the punches. This is rock ‘n’ roll. My important thing is ‘roll.’ The ‘rock’ is comparatively easy.
