Oh yes. I can imagine how it looks like. And thousands shouting "Charlie, Charlie"...Quote

After the final bow, the lights go down and Steve's kit moves back. Charlies moves forward, the drum riser draped in black with a lone spotlight on Charlie's kit.
That would be a moving tribute.
Yep! And he was "the engine" Ronnie said. Without engine no rolling.Quote

For me I can’t enjoy a live show without Charlie. He was the heart and soul of the band. Maybe a studio song without him but live no

At the very least the Stones should cancel the tour and weigh their options for next year. There is absolutely no reason to start a tour in a few weeks and celebrate Charlie's passing in this way. Too bad if you have a ticket, get a refund and allow everyone to grieve and reflect.

It's been easy for the Stones to say without Charlie, no Stones.
A 'that was then, this is now' thing.
Reality is different. We'll find out. Given how Charlie actually liked to tour, obviously, and asked Jordan to fill in for him... some may not like it but it's understandable that the Stones continue. At least with this tour. Maybe Charlie said something. He has spoken about it before.
After 2021, who knows. We'll find that out also.

Can't imagine what a B-stage visit would look like without Charlie.
Took the opportunities to get close to it over the years, primarily excited to also get that close to Charlie.
Once in Vegas, got so close to the plexiglas he had the setlist written on that I was later able to impress a young lady usher. She challenged me that there was no way I was going to get by her to get the floor as I told her I was going to do.
I proved it to her on the way back up to the seat near the end of the show, one by being on my way up.. and.. telling her which songs were coming next (easier to do in modern times) and we both danced to the last couple songs in the aisle
Perhaps this would be the time and place to do the rumored "tribute" to him.
Just the three of them.. on the B stage.

I think they'll play these dates and - health allowing - play in 2022 to celebrate 60 years. And I think Charlie would want them to play. Maybe call it a day after that. I just don't think Charlie would even want them to quit because of his death.
I'd also guess this was all discussed and resolved before they even announced Steve Jordan stepping in as a substitute! My experience of seniors is that they know what's coming and are realistic about it

Spotted on Facebook:
Local news in Chicago saying the tour will go ahead as planned.
It is very telling that sales are lagging with COVID-19 and high prices and now the loss of Charlie Watts .Quote

I'm curious if Charlie's passing will play a role in ticket sales.
So far, every current show has a LOT of unsold seats.
Would this week's devastating news "help" ticket sales with the sudden reality that this is the (very very likely) final us tour?
or would it hurt sales by people who dont want to see a 3-piece Stones?
Or will it not move the needle one way or the other?
I am genuinely curious...

Not great news as it pertains to touring in a bubble.
Paul Stanley tests positive for Covid.

The tour is continuing as scheduled. Chuck Leavell posted today on facebook the original tour announcement. This is his way of letting fans know the tour is still a GO. If there was any doubt, he wouldn't have made the post. [www.facebook.com]
