Daspyknows, you're 100% right! It IS the folks from the states where vaccination rates are WAY DOWN that we need to worry about. ( or NOT...I'm just NOT going!) You can be sure there will be fans at these shows----IF the tour happens---who are not vaccinated and may go in with a mask but take it OFF during the show...sitting next to some poor guy who followed protocol, got vacinated , wears a mask and still is infected by the idiot/carrier of Covid. I'm anxious to see the rate of transmission from Loolapalooza. With the Jazz Festival cancelled, maybe the band will get the message.
No they won't as they are to money whipped . Someone with some sense should make an rational appeal that it is just not safe for the exact reason(s) you mentioned . Fly's in the face of conventional wisdom . Can anyone say MEGA SPREADER ? Or should that be the name of this ?

Maybe instead of "No Filter" it's "No Mask" Tour?

The "A Bigger Superspreader" Tour 2021? Maybe too similar to 2005.

As pointed out elsewhere, COVID isn’t going away but life goes on. Get vaccinated if you aren’t already, wear a mask and go to the show!

It’s interesting we haven’t heard anything from the band regarding the Jazz Fest
cancellation. Soon they will begin rehearsals for the tour. I would assume, once
the rehearsals begin then the tour is definitely on.

To be honest, as much as I’m looking forward to the tour, the right thing may be
to postpone the tour for the safety of the fans. If they required proof of vaccination along with enforced mask wearing at each show on the tour then I would feel differently. As of now, I’m still planning on attending several shows -
I’m vaccinated and will be wearing a mask throughout the show.

EXACTLY. I’ve been following protocol to the T for an entire year. Got vaccinated, wear my masks always… I would hate it if some careless moron sat close to me without a mask the entire show and endangered all of us (if they have it). This is why we can’t advance and squash this thing. At this point, if the Stones or the City of LA won’t impose mask mandates (at least) for the show, I’m bailing.

LA has already listed the requirements for this show on TM...vax requirement or neg test. Masks.

The Eagles start a huge tour next week. Foo Fighters, Harry Styles, James Taylor all still touring. There is no other band as greedy as the Eagles---so if they cancel their tour I will be worried. Until then, see you in the dip line.

Not sure if anyone else has noticed this, but the Las Vegas show is now requiring masks worn for the entire concert, regardless of vaccination status. There's a new message shown when you look at tickets on Ticketmaster. This is the only show of the tour that is requiring masks for all.

"Allegiant Stadium takes the health and safety of its guests, employees, and staff very seriously. In response to rising COVID-19 cases, and in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and State of Nevada Emergency Directive 047, all individuals, regardless of vaccination status, must wear a face mask while inside the stadium. The State of Nevada & CDC do not currently require proof of vaccination to attend events. Allegiant Stadium’s COVID-19 protocols are subject to change as additional information is discovered or provided by the State of Nevada & the CDC."

The LA show requires either proof vaccination, a negative test within 72 hours, or you have to wear a mask for the duration of the event. Guessing that will be very difficult to actually enforce once everyone is inside. I have tickets for Vegas and Tampa, but I think the only show on the tour I'll feel comfortable attending is Vegas due to the masks for all. Will likely return my Rear GA and Lucky Dips for Tampa before the 8/21 date change return window ends.

Geez, what a determined, relentlessly pessimistic lot. Already concluding, AGAIN, that this ain't happening.

(Am I wrong, or is it more of our European friends who are the most insistent the entire U.S. tour is going to be cancelled?

Just sayin'.)

Vax rates keep creeping upwards, even in our backwards country. Covid Delta is going to peak and crash like every wave does, and nobody here knows yet when that'll happen. It could peak and begin falling later this month. Again, NO one knows. We just keep inching ahead with vaccinations, imploring people to mask, and hope that the reversal comes soon.

If it is crashing in early September, the tour happens. It's certainly not going to be called off before then. There isn't justification for anybody, whether the Stones themselves or internet forum quarterbacks, making that call until then.

And if I had to bet -- which I don't, but if I did -- I'd bet I'm gonna see The Jagger-Richards-Wood Band in October in Nashville and in November in Atlanta.

Triple-vaxxed, if they approve 3rd shots soon, but even only double-jabbed if need be.

I'll spend less time inside the stadiums than I would in a non-plague era. But if I get to take these gambles, which I think I will, to hear the Rolling Stones Still Left Standing play their last concert tour of America, then yes I'm gonna take those gambles.

No criticism implied of those who choose not to. To each their own.

I have tentative (hesitant) plans to go to Psycho Las Vegas next week, so I'm hoping that's the case.

Several big tours have just added last minute vax requirements. The thought is that it’s better to deal with more refunds than risk shutting down the entire tour.

Vax requirements at a Stones show would probably result in half empty stadiums - maybe up to 75% empty stadiums in some cities.

Is a vaccination requirement alone a valid reason for a refund, if the original date waan't postponed?

Los Angeles has requirements.

For L.A. there are three options - via Ticketmaster:

"I confirm that at the time of the event I will either have been fully vaccinated, received a negative Covid-19 test
within 72 hours of the event, or agree to wear a mask for the duration of the event".

So wearing a mask will get you in whether you've been vaccinated or not, or whether you've had a negative Covid-19 test or not.
In other words, as long as you promise to wear a mask you can enter the stadium while being a walking coronavirus time bomb - you just need to wear a mask.
And once those time bombs are in, no doubt they will get rid of the masks and blend in with the vaccinated and those with negative tests.

There's also this on Ticketmaster:

COVID-19 WARNING:

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any place where people gather. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. You assume all risks, hazards, and dangers arising from or relating in any way to the risk of contracting a communicable disease or illness—including, without limitation, exposure to COVID-19 or any other bacteria, virus, or other pathogen capable of causing a communicable disease or illness, whether that exposure occurs before, during, or after the event, and regardless of how caused or contracted—and you hereby waive any and all claims and potential claims against Ticketmaster, Live Nation, and the Event Organizer (as defined in our Purchase Policy)—and against any companies affiliated with Ticketmaster, Live Nation, or the Event Organizer—relating to such risks, hazards, and dangers.

I wore a mask but it seems that I was the only one in the audience of maybe 400 persons. I felt weird but I kept my mask on because I believe I was doing the right thing.

The normal "good to go" procedure - for a show - is having either a valid vaccination, or a valid negative covid-19 test. If you have neither, you should not go to a concert.

If you do not have a vaccine, for some reason, and your take a test, which end up positive, i.e. you carry covid-19, then you should stay at home.

There is a cost involved in catching covid-19. Loosing a show is the smaller cost, i.e. the ticket value. The bigger cost is staying at home in quarantine for 10-14 days, not being able to travel, not going to work and so on. Not to mention all the health implications. You may seek compensation from your insurance company, from the local or central authorities, but really, the cost of the concert ticket is not to be compared to the cost of the catching covid-19 itself, and all the complications.

If you do not feel comfortable with that cost, then ask for a refund now, not when you test positive on the day of the show.

Here in the UK, The Royal Albert Hall has got The Proms just about every day till September 11th and plenty of gigs and performances throughout 2021 and 2022.
These are their rules for entry, and probably most live music venues in the UK will be the same or very similar. thumbs up

In order to enter the Royal Albert Hall, those aged 18 and over will be required to demonstrate one of the following:

1. evidence of a negative lateral flow test shown via text or email from the Government website, either taken at home or at a test centre, within 48 hours of the performance:

To report negative lateral flow test result: [www.gov.uk]
How to get free NHS Lateral Flow tests: [www.nhs.uk]
2. Evidence of double vaccination, where the second vaccine was administered at least 14 days before the event via the NHS App (England, Scotland, NI and Wales Apps are all accepted), vaccination card, or letter provided by the NHS

3. proof of natural immunity based upon a positive PCR test taken within 180 days of the performance double vaccination, negative test or proof of natural immunity via an EU Digital Covid Certificate

Those aged 18 years will be treated as adults and will need to show proof of their Covid Status on entry as above.

Under 18s should take a lateral flow test within 48 hours of the performance. Parents or guardians will be asked to show proof of the negative result on their behalf. All unaccompanied 16 to 18s will be required to show proof of their negative lateral flow test to enter the Royal Albert Hall. (Evidence of a negative test can be registered via the Government website; [www.gov.uk])

Unfortunately without the above evidence you will be turned away from the Royal Albert Hall

We strongly encourage audiences to wear face coverings for the duration of their visit, in order to reduce your risk and the risk to others.

Please respect the personal space of other customers and staff.

Thanks for posting that about RAH Crawdaddy.

Some of my family went to The London Palladium recently, I think you will agree, just as prestigious a London venue, audience numbers a bit smaller, being a theatre rather than an auditorium.

Their entry conditions stated to be very similar, conveyed with emailed tickets.
But none of that happened at all! But most of the audience wore masks at least.

Travelling there, they overheard some ‘youngsters’, who were obviously looking at there tix for somewhere, ringing home - ‘can you open one of those test kits, and go online and enter the number into my online account, and tick the negative box?’

Oh, btw, the Palladium show now shut down for ten days following a cast member testing positive…….

Pleased to report my family who went did home testing daily for ten days afterwards, all good…..

So these London venues not for me atm I’m afraid.

Good luck to those of you going to the USA RS concerts ………

No way this is even close to accurate..

Went to three Jason Isbell/Lucinda shows in Austin, easily a more conservative fan base and crowd in Texas, where proof or test was in place to enter.

All three nights were packed.
Rapid testing was a few blocks away and people who hadn't heard of the last minute requirement scrambled up to get a test.

Some refused and returned their tickets, which the venue, TM. and the artist approved. Watched the ticket availability for all three shows very closely as I was looking to upgrade. Nearly as many (myself incl) snagged the seats up almost as quickly as they were returned. The sellouts remained sellouts with a small percentage of no shows. Smaller venue, but pretty telling how quickly the sell out shows "re" sold out,
In Texas for (alt) country performers..

I love the London Palladium as a really great music and entertainment venue, but they have to enforce their own strict rules otherwise what's the point.
Getting a result from the test kits and reporting the result to NHS is fine..................if you are telling the truth.

As you know, you just scan or provide the number that is on the test you just done and provide the information to NHS , and within half hour the text message is on your phone and email.

Impossible to police, but random checks by Government authorities at the entance wouldn't go amiss. confused smiley

Here in the States they issue out cheap paper vax cards that can easily easily counterfeited as has been seen in the news for the last few months - especially recently with more requirements put in place. > FAKE
Wondering what type of actual "card" they issue in the UK - I'm assuming it's much more than a paper index card - maybe something more official that's been laminated similar to a passport that's not so easy to counterfeit?

As for absolute vaccine/test result requirements, the Eagles have announced a single show of their tour where they will be required:
"Concertgoers will need to be fully-vaccinated and provide proof of vaccination to attend the Eagles’ show" or "a negative PCR COVID-19 test taken within 48 hours of the show.
Requiring vaccinations is the best way to protect our crew and our fans".
(Eagles) - there might be a few counterfeit cards amongst some antivaxxer/Eagles fans, whereas the rest of the tour is way more lax as far as I know.
And also as far as I know, there are NO Stones shows at this point that demand either proof of vaccination or negative test for entry as the only options- simply wearing a mask will also get you in.

There's the L.A. notification I posted in previous post stating wearing a mask as an option, and here's what Ticketmaster says for Vegas:

"State of Nevada Emergency Directive 047 - all individuals, regardless of vaccination status, must wear a face mask while inside the stadium.
The State of Nevada & CDC do not currently require proof of vaccination to attend events".

Can anybody answer this question? Im taking my 12 year old to Nashville and Atlanta and was wondering about the section that is on the sides of the stage. the 1st section that you can buy tickets for, if you sit in the first 10 rows how is your line of sight to the band? It's not the floor seats its the sections on about the 20 yd line. I dont wanna spend good money for a terrible view. Sections 108 & 130 for Atlanta and 111 & 131 for Nashville. Thanks frtylicks.

Judging by my experience with those kinds of seats, should be excellent. Sometimes however, if you are really close to the side, the view of the musicians can be cut off, mostly Charlie. But this time around, no Charlie so it doesn't matter.
