I like that too, "follow the tongues," thanks for that and directions, Hairball.

What about the Holly Crest Hotel, for LA, near LAX?

Never heard of it, but based on the location and the reviews on Tripadvisor, I would say no.

Scroll down this link for reviews - ---NO---

I wouldn't recommend any of the one and two star motels/hostels/dumps around the stadium - again, it's not the friendliest neighborhood.

-------------------------------------------------

First review listed on Tripadvisor:

Horrible experience
"Horrible, disgusting, and the staff don’t care.
1) room smells disgusting
2) small restroom/ showers you share with everyone in the building witch are very dirty
3) the sheets inside my room had a big yellow brown sheet all in the center
4) the staff do not care, the staff was lazy completely ignored my concerns
5) they do not give you a refund !
I am extremely disappointed that I spend my money on such a nasty room
Do not recommend anyone to stay here."

On the positive side though, don't have to go far for hookers and blow, its all right outside your door.

I just want to say I'm so grateful this tour is scheduled. It's given me something to look forward to as I struggle with pandemic languishing. <3

Exactly. And worst case, if you already are on the plane across the pond and a show gets cancelled at the last minute, no insurance in the world is going to make you whole.

Look into insuremytrip.com, it's a broker site, you pick the best deal.

BUT BE SURE TO CHOOSE THE "CANCEL FOR ANY REASON" OPTION.

Its costlier but could pay off. Read the fine print though.

"it wasn't the cost of the concert tkt that kept me away, but the cost of lodging"

I hear ya! Remember those days when we used to worry about getting a ticket to the show. Wait in line all night, meet a scalper in the toilet, call in to every radio show giveaway.. Hell, the tkt's the easy part now!

Agree with this. I live within 5 miles of the new stadium and took a recon drive yesterday afternoon around Sofi; the area around Prairie/Century (major access roads surrounding Sofi Stadium complex) looks pretty grim. Although some new development is expected around Sofi and the new arena the Clippers are building, it’s still some years away.

I’d look in area around LAX or El Segundo for a hotel.

Hopefully in next month or so as Rams and Chargers start to play games there will be some clarity on transit options to Sofi.

I would always just take Line 212 from Hollywood. Runs late and usually other fans on the bus.

Based on information from someone I know that is involved with the New Orleans Jazz And Heritage Festival... if I lived anywhere else but New Orleans and was planning on buying a ticket..

There were, from what I've seen, 1113 new cases in Louisiana today. July 21, over 5300.

So far the fest is still planned to go on but it is currently up in the air regarding what happens with the unvaxxed people.

Unvaxxed people are ruining everything.

Stop that &%$*# - vaxxed people are still infecting loads of others, and they mostly are not be tested anymore. That's dangerous for everyone.

If the situation will allow no gigs - it's better there will be no gigs.
The question is, who are the real egoists und risk more lives - the unvaxxed or those who can't live without a risky Stones gig?

Right, just wondering which travel insurance allows you to cancel once you have already commenced your trip. Maybe there are those that do.

From the Cape Cod Times: The cases overall include 342 Massachusetts residents, 153 of whom live in Provincetown, the announcement said. Of the Massachusetts residents affected, 69% reported they are fully vaccinated, and while two of three related hospitalizations are in-state, symptoms in the other cases "are known to be mild and without complication," according to details from the Provincetown Select Board and Board of Health, and the county Department of Health and Environment.

Anyone have SoFi Stadium Presale Codes for Tuesday July 27th?

We saw the No Filter show at the Rose Bowl and it's awesome!

Would imagine the Sofi presale codes get emailed today or early tomorrow morning. The presale goes at noon local on Tuesday, right?

Still time.

Booked my room at the Holiday Inn Express LAX. Inexpensive, very good reviews, and an easy walk to the stadium without having to go through dodgy neighborhoods.

The entire area and surrounding neighborhoods around SoFi stadium are "dodgy".

Or as jmd described it - "pretty grim".

Booked at the Hilton LAX, through a site I've not used before but appears legit.
(have a back-up res at Holiday Inn Exp)

Stayforlonger is designed for reservations 3+ nights.
Hilton came in at $405 for the three nights I'll be there.

Unfortunately, over an hour walk from either of these hotels is no longer an easy one for me, but.. I'll get there winking smiley

Granted, but my walk back to the hotel after the show will be primarily through SOFI property, then a mad sprint about one block down West Century Blvd which is the main street. Had another place booked but canceled when I realized it was a 1.4 mile walk mainly off the beaten path.

I had tickets for Louisville and Cleveland, for Louisville I received an email from Ticketmaster with a link for tickets to Nashville. Didn't received an equivalent email for Cleveland. Has anyone received an email for Cleveland with a link to tickets to another show? Thanks

Yes. It was attached with my Louisville email (didn't see it at first). Cleveland offers Pittsburgh or Detroit

Was very bummed as Louisville and Cleveland were the shows most looking forward to!

The unvaxxed have a higher risk to catch covid. The vaxxed not so much.
