You think ticket prices will go below face value? Mind you, I am tslking about Standard Pricing here, not any "Platinum" priced tickets.

They always do by show day. Once an event’s over a ticket’s obviously worthless. So if it remains unsold on showday, sellers cut their prices to whatever they can get. I’ve bought tickets on showday lots of times for Stones and others, sometimes even travelling to the venue ticketless. I usually get a big discount and the most I’ve ever paid was face.

I traveled ticketless to London O2 show 1 2012, the very show which kicked off their current run of tours. Show was in huge demand but I waited at the Seatwave Office until a ticket suddenly became available for £100 cash, grabbed it and entered. I did miss the 1st 3-4 songs though. They played 22 though thumbs up

Yes, but I am not talking about Seatwave or any other resale site, I'm talking about Ticketmaster.

That said, yes, I know that good deals can be found on show day, be it box office, scalpers, or elsewhere.

And the Lucky Dips Officegrinning smiley Now that I realise that you’re talking about the official primary ticket vendor, one very subtle way they have of discounting is to quietly change slow selling seats down to a lower pricing band. That’s been done lots of times.

That may also be the case, though the decision on that has to be made a bit earlier than on the actual show day, most likely.

I read a lot of the posts here and online articles. What I'm missing is what if any COVID measures are being taken at each venue, like Charlotte, NC.

Any info from the Stones staff?

Thanks

Not sure if this has come up yet, but in Austin, the Pits 1 & 2 are labeled in reverse compared to every other show on every leg of the No Filter tour up till this point.

So, is this just a web site labeling error or is this the actual set up for this show? I want to be on "Keith side" as always, and am hesitant to get Pit 1 tickets for fear it is a mislabeling situation.

Aah.. this explains my confusion on people being offered "special" pre-sales for cancelled tix.
Haven't received an invite for LA from TM on my cancelled SD Lucky Dips.
No doubt not available until the general sale but would have been nice to switch same for same.

"All previously purchased tickets will be honoured at the rescheduled dates, unfortunately, there are a few dates that we were unable to reschedule - Ticketmaster will communicate directly with all purchasers of these tickets with more information. Where feasible, a priority offer for ticketholders will be available for nearby shows."

Their wordage is all over the place as usual. No one's been "holding" any SD tickets since that show got cancelled - and refunded - back in September winking smiley

But anyways, great news for those who had SD tix before.

AEG Presents is the promoter of the 2021 RS-Tour and has a general link about Covid-19 - [www.AEGPresents.com] .

Maybe it's a bit too early at the moment for exact measures since the situation can still change until the Tour starts. Maybe you could also try to contact AEG for more informations about Covid-19 measures.

Protect yourself. Get vaccinated and use your masks. Let the shows begin.

Why no New York? The city has had a hugesurge in violentcrime in the last year, but I’m sure the band has body to escort them
Do you have any idea what the crime rate is in New York, with the recent rise, compared to say St. Louis, Detroit, or most us cities?

I didn’t think so.
So that makes it better? New York City crime has skyrocketed.People are being shot in Times Square in broad daylight.Prostitution is brazenly going on the streets of Queens.People are afraid to ride the subways. The parks are open air drug dens..Don’t lecture me about crime.I was a New York prosecutor for over 20 years in the Westchestef County District Attorney’s Office.Soon ICE will be abolished so any non citizen can victimize someone and they will get away with it.

Sorry, I assumed -- obviously wrongly -- that yours was a serious comment and, accordingly, assumed you were a very naive 17 year old.

I have spent my professional life responding to moronic statements from other attorneys -- I worked across the street from you if you were an ADA in the main office in WP and didn't spend your 20 years as an ADA resolving traffic matters in Justice Courts -- and had no desire to engage here. But since you insist.

You obviously know that the crime rate in St. Louis, the tour opener, and many other tour cities, dwarfs that of NYC.

So your original comment was stupid, notwithstanding the obvious point that the crime rate in a city has Zero impact on the Stones. Like they're nervous about taking the subway to the show because the crime rate is going up, up, up. What do you think it was in 75?

I just pointed out that your post was stupid on many levels, not knowing you were a troll rather than a dumb teenager. I didn't lecture you about crime, but now will.

My grandchildren live in Queens so the NYC crime rate is an issue in my life on a daily basis. I am well aware of what is going on, and why. We would probably agree somewhat on the causes of the spikes in crime in NY and other cities (by the way, the open-air hooker market is in Brooklyn, not Queens). Hopefully Mr. Adams actions will match his words and the city will take back Washington Square Park, etc. etc. and not go the way of other cities where DA's decline to enforce the law. It has nothing to do with immigrants, ICE, race, identity, whatever. I think Adams understands that when you disband a successful program called the "Anticrime Program" and then crime soars, you could make a connection.

Stop jumping to conclusions, counselor.

That means that all of them are in good health and good shape to take on the job. I wonder how much rehearsing they will need after all these months spent at home. Good luck to them; they are amazing!
Rockandroll,
Mops

LOL! Seeing that they'll mostly do 16-19 of the same songs every night... they can cut their rehearsal time down to 2 weeks.

I don't think they need to learn the songs but just get their chops back into "game shape".

Anybody who had San Diego tickets, please post when you receive your email from Ticketmaster about the special pre-sale for LA. I bought my San Diego ticket thru StubHub, so I don’t know if I’ll get access to the pre-sale or not. I am hoping I will, because the ticket had been transferred to me, but Ticketmaster may only email the original purchaser.

Does anyone know if the pre-sale for New Orleans and Las Vegas will require an American Express card?
I remember that being a requirement for pre-sale in 2015 and/or 2019, but I don't see anything about it this year.

That's usually the general consensus. However, I've seen some pretty good openers:

J. Geils
George Thorogood
Stone Temple Pilots
Living Colour
Spin Doctors

I saw Geils & Thorogood open as well, yes, great! .. Now here I go with my crazy what ifs again: But "what if" Mick or Keith came down to the Shoals for Jason Isbell's gigs on Oct 2/3 for a surprise reverse-guest spot? Jason does a great job covering the Stones, it's a close shot to Pittsburgh before that show, and it would put a nice bow on their Sticky Fingers legend! A guy can dream can't he?

I don't see them leaving their protective bubble much.

No Amex needed. Sometimes Amex has their own pre-pre-sale, but no word of that this year.

Why not? There is more than six feet from the band to the closest fans, if they (Stones) don’t reach out for high fives or whatever, right? Seemed to be the case in Nashville and DC.
