I don't think 40 percent of the UK hospitalisations are from patients who took the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, Riffie smiling smiley

It's all about keeping perspective on the situation DP, the media are gasdlighting us, 9000 people died in the UK last week, 171 died positive for covid, how many of those deaths were because people couldn't receive important cancer and heart treatments due to covid restrictions.
In Sydney Australia they all but locked down because one 87 year old man died of covid, you have to start asking yourself what's this really going on here.

Why no New York? The city has had a hugesurge in violentcrime in the last year, but I’m sure the band has body to escort them

They played two times at Metlife Stadium just outside Manhattan NYC summer 2019, so NYC got their share recently. Same with Boston. Same with Chicago. These new dates have a strange pattern on the map, a bit like the Zip Code tour. I think it is great that they can tour New Orleans again, just two years after the show at the Superdome. Sure they have dedication to planned performances, Jazz Fest is more important to them than big cities.

How about airing one of these gigs live on Youtube. Wouldn't that be something?

The "No Zoom tour"

I second the virtual concert just as an homage to the day and to reach folks who can't get out.

Does anyone know how Ticketmaster refunds work? Isn't all or nothing per show, or can you keep say some tickets to a show and get refunds for other tickets to the same show?

In mysterious ways for sure.

An Internet-PPV (like end of 2012) for those who cannot travel to the United States for the RS 2021-Tour due to the pandemic.

True. It is odd though that the Stones are a British group and can tour, yet families in the UK cannot visit their US relatives.

As has been posted a few times there is a remedy. You go to a country with travel allowed to both U.K. and US, spend 14 days there and then move on to whichever you’re going to. Obviously you need time to be able to do that, which most working people don’t have. Mexico is a popular staging post for those who do this and I’d imagine that’s what the Stones will do. Maybe they’ll rehearse there.

Spending 14 days there would be just as expensive as the penalty for leaving quarantine. That was the case in UK when the new Carnaby-Store opened in September 2020. winking smiley

I’m sure whatever resources are required will not be a problem for the Stones. But for the ordinary travelling fan in paid employment it’s a very different matter. Even if the financial cost in getting there isn’t a problem , the cost in leave from work is a big hit for most, apart from those able to work on the road and the self employed.

Yep, there's a difference between traveling for professional reasons and for tourism purposes. We had that within Germany during the Lockdowns (you couldn't travel touristically e.g. to the Baltic Sea).

Stayed up all night and carefully compared hotels in a lot of detail and booked rooms for LA, Minneapolis, Vegas and I've already got a reservation for Pittsburgh. Now, I've just got to get tickets to the first three.

I think you are still able to return them to Ticketmaster. Why sell under Face Value?

Exactly what hockenheim95 said. Just get a refund if you can't go.

Plenty of face value floors and lowers for Minny on TM.

They’ll fall much further by showtime. With the full range of attitudes to COVID out there , there will be many fans not willing to take the risk and others still who are completely fine with it. It will put downward pressure on ticket prices I’d think. What will be very interesting is how sales go for the 3 brand new dates going on sale next week

Gee, just how quickly can the (boot?) merchandisers get 2021 No Filter tour stuff to market -- have a look at this t shirt just put up today July 23rd on eBay

One day after the tour announcement.

Probably a mock-up, quickly done by "Photoshop" - the 2021 logos & dates are easily available on RS.com .

You think ticket prices will go below face value? Mind you, I am tslking about Standard Pricing here, not any "Platinum" priced tickets.

I haven't gotten any emails yet for my cancelation of Vancouver and Cleveland with offers of other shows. I wonder when I do if they will offer me LDs at new venues to replace my LDs from those two canceled shows.

plexi

They won't just offer you LD's straight up. You have to go the usual route for LD's for LA and Vegas. Chances are New Orleans won't even have LD's.

Also, I got the e-mail regarding Vancouver yesterday, with no mention of a "presale" access/offer to any other show. Well, I guess that wasn't feasible winking smiley

no, what I'm wondering is if there is any chance I would be offered LDs for some shows off the original tour itinerary. Prolly not, any new LDs will only be for the new shows I would imagine. But I might try calling TM and arguing the point and see what happens.

Even less so. Why would they offer you new Lucky Dips when all of them are already spoken for?

Cannot hurt to talk to TM about it but then it's not TM's call as to if more/new LDs are released for a given show.

But yes, would think that new LDs for new shows only.

BTW,

Where did some people (commenting on Stones social) get the idea that tickets for a cancelled show would be "honored" at another show or could be "traded in" for another show, LOL.

Seriously.

They always do by show day. Once an event’s over a ticket’s obviously worthless. So if it remains unsold on showday, sellers cut their prices to whatever they can get. I’ve bought tickets on showday lots of times for Stones and others, sometimes even travelling to the venue ticketless. I usually get a big discount and the most I’ve ever paid was face.

I traveled ticketless to London O2 show 1 2012, the very show which kicked off their current run of tours. Show was in huge demand but I waited at the Seatwave Office until a ticket suddenly became available for £100 cash, grabbed it and entered. I did miss the 1st 3-4 songs though. They played 22 though thumbs up

If they offer me Minneapolis in place, say, of Cleveland, is there a chance that what they might offer me might possibly be a better selection than what I would get if I just went onto TM right now?

I will argue that it is a fair one to one exchange. Prolly won't work but I'll give it a go. Maybe I could argue for something better. Still haven't gotten any email from TM.
