On 21st August 1964 the Stones played on the island of Jersey in Springfield Hall, St. Helier.
On 24th August 1964 UK TV channel TWW broadcast a recording of "I'm Moving On" from the concert on their programme "Here Today".
On 25th August the same programme broadcast a recording of "Its All Over Now" probably from the same 21st August concert.
(Info from www.nzentgraf.de)
Are either of these recordings (film or just audio) circulating and available ?
If not, then over in Buy/Trade is news of a forthcoming live 1964 album which claims to have the I'm Moving On track from 21st August 1964......which if true would mean a totally new recording has surfaced.
The 1964 album says the source fro "I'm Moving On" is :
Track 9 recorded live at the New Theatre Ballroom, St. Peter Port, Channel Islands on August 18th and broadcast on August 24th by ITV Channel Television.
Whether it was the St Peter Port OR St Helier concert....it would still be a good find.
Are either of these recordings (film or just audio) circulating and available ?
At least there're currently no entries for the Channel-Islands-Concerts late August 1964 on [dbboots.com] and [Bootlegpedia.com] . But that doesn't mean that Bootlegs don't exist.
This version of I'm Moving On includes an interview with Jagger where he is specifically asked about the reaction the band has received in the Channel isles...
Quote Memo From Tina Turner It's on youtube. Here's the video: [youtu.be]
That’s fantastic! It’s always wonderful when these snippets are unearthed. You have to wonder what else the likes of ITV and the BBC have gathering dust.
Thank you Memo From Tina Turner....for sorting this out...its obviously been around for a while and I missed it on You Tube. Thanks again, its a pretty good recording for its time.
