I know there are several from this area, can't remember who now. Perhaps Big Al? I remember several years ago there was a member named Ruby Tuesday or Miss Tuesday that was from Vancouver but haven't seen her here in a while. I remember there are/were one or two from Vancouver Island.

Haven't followed hockey much since I lived up there and followed the Canucks.
Used to love going to the games, and am considering risking bodily injury by sportin some Kraken gear and heading up to see them in Vancouver in October.

Would be fun to get a little cross border rivalry going..
Reminiscent of the Seattle Thunderbirds days when they played against the Canucks I believe, who were a minor league team at the time.

Release the Kraken!!

I'm not huge on hockey. This won't be popular everywhere but I kind of lost some interest when they took Coaches Corner off the air. I always thought that Coach & Charles Barkley would've been an interesting pairing for a talk show! thanks to all.

PS: I looked at ticket prices & they are a bit rich for me. I'd rather budget that money for music.

Back before the present Canucks entered the NHL in 1970, the minor league team was the Vancouver Canucks. Current WHL team is the Giants.

DGA35 you are correct I never knew the team name was the Canucks in the WHL back then. Thanks ! I used to go to all the New Westminster Bruin games in the 70's that was great old time hockey to watch as a kid.
