I think you're right, Big Al.
Good luck with this evening's EC final! Will it be "fish and chips" or "pizza"?

First time I have seen it.
Cheap to produce, no need to mic anything, no soundcheck... Happens a lot in TV shows, even if the bands want to play liveQuote

I never got why bands needed to mime to a track vs playing live?

I hear the mandolin. Did Mick Taylor play slide on the studio version? I know he's not listed on the Let It Bleed credits, but it sounds like his slide playing. And he did play slide on the live versions.

That is defenitely not Mick Taylor on slide. He sounds completely different.
I don’t hear the mandolin till the end where it sounds like it’s bleeding through the vocals. All I hear is Keith’s slide and acoustic. And they definitely removed Ry Cooders mandolin solo. Why?And didn’t Keith later play slide on Ventilator Blues and Till the Next Goodbye during the Taylor era.Quote

Keith went through this short period of slide playing, out of necessity I guess. But he wasn't bad at it. I wonder why he never picked it up again. After a certain point he left it all the Taylor and Wood, both excellent slide guitarists, but Keith did have his own passable style.
