Not knowing anything about this documentary, if it provides a quality portrait of Chuck's contribution to rock n roll (rather than a salacious or gossipy focus as I have seen with other celebrity docs), then it does a good service to his legacy, and perhaps re-introduce him to a new audience that may overlooked Chuck. In my estimation, Chuck's contribution to rock and roll was so massive, he is worthy of any good documentary!

There can never be enough Chuck Berry documentaries. Thanks for the heads up.

I saw a recent documentary on Berry. It was pretty skin deep. I hope this has archival footage rarely or never seen, and a deeper look into the man.

It had better feature Johnnie Johnson pretty darn prominently.

And all the various and sundry local last minute backup bands he generally alternately ignored and terrorized.

You can tell I am kind of jaded.

i'm just hoping that it will have a lengthy segement about his post hail hail life and career maybe with the inclusion of his family and friends


and maybe not the place but for the love of god someone do something significant and meaningful for little richard too

.... and do something monumental for Fats Domino tooooooooooo .....
