Its a wonderful doc that not only covers drums but the birth of american
rock'n'roll in NOLA, to Motown and beyond.
Lots of familair faces in this.
Highly recommend watching.

I got a seat at the side of the stage for the Police's Spirits in the Material World tour in 1982. I took that seat so I could watch Stewart drum. He was great, and entertaining. I saw him on the Police Reunion Tour in 2008. All the magic was gone, from Stewart's drumming, and just the disinterested, money grabbing from the band.

I was at their last show at MSG 2008 and had a 5th row seat behind the stage.
Prime viewing for Stewart.
Although it might have been a money grab, I thought they were amazing and Stewart was incredible to watch.
My first time seeing them was at a small club in Jersey in 1979.
Then in 1980 at the Capital Theater in Passiac NJ.

I always said Stewart was the most talented musician in that group.

I enjoyed both 2007 and 2008 shows. Stewart is a different drummer then he was earlier. Harder more heavy less nuanced but just as compelling. I’d say the magic was different but not gone… 2008 Demolition Man was particularly good

Maybe he was tired, or you didn't see the '82 version. The 2008 version I saw looked tired, and struggled to keep up. I understand, that's almost a quarter century since you played Police songs live.
