three English players failed in the penalty shoot out – who of them is going to be England's nation coach in 25 years?

Some horrible penalties. England missed 3 out of 5. Why let the substitutes take them? Anyway, congrats Italy. A good game all-in-all. Two good teams.

what did you expect? They are England after all…
What I don't understand is that the Englishc team didn't do what the Italy did in 2006 in the semi final against Germany: They did everything to avoid a penalty shoot out and therefore attacked until the very last minute of the extra time – scored a goal in 118. minute and another one one or two minutes later. They simply knew that they could not win in a penalty shoot out (against Germany). The English shoudl know that too…

I’m not a great fan of football, but I’m very glad we’ve won.
Italy is really suffering the pandemic and we can’t still see the end of it.
I like to believe this victory can be the cornerstone of a much needed rebirth.
That said a big hug to English supporters,
Luca

Yep, Rashford's penalty. Dancing around the ball, concentrating too much on the goalie. I was thinking - will he kick the ball or not?

England lost the European championship but will have largely won in the progression of the Covid-19 with all the non-respect of barrier gestures.

A very stupid and costly move, why disco dance before the kick?

I really don't like this style of shooting...from anyone, even from my team's palyers.

No need to worry England.
Guess in another 55 years from now you might play a final again.

Congrats to Italy...as I predicted, they won after extra time with penalties..
England played a great tournament, it wasn't a good idea by Southgate to throw in
Rashford and Sancho just for the penalties...bad luck.

well, after one or two days the English team is going to realize what they achieved (the best result in a tourment in 55 years plus winning against Germany) and they will be looking forward to the world cup next year!

England didn't lose so much as two people missed penalties that shouldn't have been picked to take them.

You have to blame Garath Southgate for that error, those two guys didn't even have time to run off their nerves.

Congratulations Italy.

even the Germans lost half of the finals they played (1966, 1976, 1982, 1986, 1992, 2002, 2008 (and – of course and just to mention it for our traditional English friends – both in 1918 and 1945)
