A lot of negativity here. You don't have to watch the games. No one is forcing you. And in a couple of weeks it's back to normality where
Man U, Chelsea, Bayern München, Real Madrid and Barcelona can win all the tournaments again. And buy all the players. So, you'll just have to wait it out...

You have to qualify but now with 24 teams almost every country can take part
Blue = Team qualified for UEFA Euro 2020

Kind of sucks for the countries that don't make it!

It's quite a high number of countries that don't make it to the championships. Many of them (including mine, unfortunately) are small countries, though...

I'm really sorry for you! I have it better. I can watch Erling Haaland every week in the Bundesliga. The only question is how much longer ... My faint hope is that he will go to Bayern and thus stay in the Bundesliga.

I feel sorry for Hungary, they almost kicked Germany out of the tournament. And I guess England would have preferred playing Hungary instead of Germany in the 1/8-final?
Lewandowski a class player, scored twice against Sweden. Poland out anyway after losing, 2-3. By winning Sweden did avoid meeting Belgium or Croatia in the 1/8-final.
Ukraine looks like a more favorable option. Here are the 1/8 matches:

June 26, Wales-Denmark, Amsterdam
June 26, Italy-Austria, London

June 27, The Netherlands-Czechia, Budapest
June 27, Belgium-Portugal, Sevilla

June 28, Croatia-Spain, Copenhagen
June 28, France-Switzerland, Bukarest

June 29, England-Germany, London
June 29, Sweden-Ukraine, Glasgow

Some notes: England has played all their games on home turf (Wembley). Where is the fairness in that?

Which are your predictions for Saturday? The two, three of you still following this thread I mean...

?
That's impossible
Denmark will play Netherlands (or Czech Republic) in the quarter finals if they win

Well it's easy to get confused with this schedule
My predictions are:
Denmark beats Wales.. idk really, it's like 50/50?
Italy beats Austria
Netherlands beat Czech Rep. If they don't, De Boer failed as a national head coach. They haven't really been tested in this tournament yet.
Belgium Portugal.. it's hard to say.. Belgium has great players but the defence is their weaker spot.. I don't know if they can stop Ronaldo.. Portugal's got some world class players too.. I say Portugal wins.. but this is also 50/50
Spain beats Croatia
France beats Switzerland
England Germany.. another hard one.. England wins at Wembley
Sweden beats Ukraine
This is it!

Yes Nils, Denmark-Wales is a 50/50 game really. I will favor our Nordic neighbour though (being Swedish). Italy will be big favorites against Austria but I wouldn't write off Austria completely.
They have a chance like everyone else...

I went to see the fortune teller and she could read that in her crystal ball

the results of the forthcoming games are :

Wales-Denmark : 1-1 (Wales qualified on penalty)

Italy-Austria : 2-0

The Netherlands-Czechia : 2-1

Belgium-Portugal : 3-1

Croatia-Spain : 2-1

France-Switzerland : 1-0

England-Germany : 2-1

Sweden-Ukraine : 1-2

Brits and English are not one and the same btw. Wales (which voted for Brexit btw) have had to play all their games a very long way from home. 2 in Azerbaijan, 1 in Italy and they play In Amsterdam today with no travelling fans allowed.
Wales reached the Semi Finals of Euro 2016.

I'm Belgian, but I don't see Belgium-Portugal for 3-1. That would be a miracle. Belgium is good, but so good to beat Portugal? Our defence is older and slower and can they stop Ronaldo during the whole match?

Very much looking forward to today’s games - Wales v Denmark I have a soft spot for both and an evenly matched game for the neutrals. Can’t see past the Italians (been in great form) v Austria. I’m not sure my own team (England) have enough to see off Germany on Tuesday given our misfiring strikers and lack of cohesion, even if our German friends are a bit slow at the back

we had the same problem with the French team.
Karim Benzema didn't score a single goal during the last 3 games and eventually woke up against Portugal (2 goals).
Harry Kane could possibly wake up too and score once or even twice.

Glad that Denmark are through, and completely outclassed Wales with a 4-0 win.

I was also supporting Wales, but the best team won ..........definately.

Looks like the Italy v Austria game is going into extra time.

I really did think it would be an Italy win, but who knows now, and no goals scored yet.

Two Welsh substitutes made the difference today. A poor clearance by Williams served Dolberg for 2-0. Then a red card for Wilson and there you go.
Joakim Mähle a class player. Congrats Denmark! Italy in the lead in extra time now, 1-0...

Ps. Bale stole the header from Moore (I think it was). Otherwise it would certainly have been a goal and 2-1. Ds.

All kudos to Austria, they even scored on regular time. Sadly, offside with half a knee. A good game all in all. Not at all one-sided.
Congrats to Italy, 2-1 on extra time. Two interesting games coming up tomorrow.

Very good games today. Wales weren’t at the races today & the Danes were strong. Austria gave a great go off it. Italian team enjoyable to watch.
