Leave Ronnie Alone

Whats all this bitching about Ronnie Woods Playing.

I saw Mick Taylor a couple of months ago and he was a wreck, not only in his playing:
(Which was a shambles) but he looked like Homer Simpson, with more hair ofcourse.
I bumped into Ronnie on my travels to Cnada (I Meet him at lake louise), what a great guy who was very approachable and down to earth.
Enough is enough, taylor left the band and ronnie replaced hime, hello this happened over 25 years ago, get over it. Just listen to the 78 tours and tell me ronnie is crap or have a listen to Wood on the Licks bootlegs of can't you hear me knocking.
Hey maybe some of you guys can audition for the band, just put down those chips, grow some hair and actually learn how to play guitar, or even try playing in front of a crowd, you'd be shattered, you would not last 60m seconds

These reactionary threads to criticsms are as boring and predictable as the criticism threads themselves.

And you all say the same thing...I'd like to see YOU do better.

What the @#$%& does that have to do with anything? I'm not claiming to be a guitar wizard, or suitable for the Stones. We're TALKING about one of the biggest bands in history charging crazy amounts of money, and if one of their members isn't performing up to standards, it hurts their image and their legacy.

Being nasty or disrespectful about Ronnie is un-called for...he's a great guy and we're all pulling for him, but valid criticisms shouldn't be shouted down.

There can be and perhaps have been too much negativity about the change from Taylor to Wood. Some negativity is unavoidable, of course, Taylor was/is better than Wood. But, then again, Taylor was/is better than (almost?) anyone, so that's no shame.
