OT: From the Ripley's Believe It or Not Dept: Jimi Hendrix was kidnapped by the Mafia

AND a special hidden bonus article with Stones content for your viewing pleasure:

Why Jimi Hendrix Cut Off Rolling Stone Brian Jones at Sessions for ‘All Along the Watchtower’

Excuse me for my ignorance, but I have never heard either of these stories. Sounds like the people at Far Out magazine (and Cheatsheet) might be hitting the pipe a little too hard...

(I don't write this stuff folks, I just post it...)

PS- Let's try to keep the comments on the light-hearted side (just for the sheer entertainment value, of course)

For the staff members of Far Out magazine and Cheatsheet, I dedicate the following courtesy of the Airplane:

One pill makes you larger
And one pill makes you small
And the ones that mother gives you
Don't do anything at all
Go ask Alice
When she's ten feet tall

And if you go chasing rabbits
And you know you're going to fall
Tell 'em a hookah smoking caterpillar
Has given you the call
To call Alice
When she was just small

When the men on the chessboard
Get up and tell you where to go
And you've just had some kind of mushroom
And your mind is moving low
Go ask Alice
I think she'll know

When logic and proportion
Have fallen slowly dead
And the White Knight is talking backwards
And the Red Queen's off with her head
Remember what the dormouse said
"Feed your head, feed your head"

He may have been drunk and played lousy piano , but his percussion on All Along the Watchtower is great. It is as interesting and original as anything in the track
