No, Mick told Muiscian in early 1993 that there was a psychedelic track he hadn't used as there were already too many styles on WS. It was not named...maybe it was reworked for VL...

Oh and "Charmed Life" from the 2007 compilation was recorded during these sessions. Not exactly as good as "Wandering Spirit", eh ?

This is an absolutely excellent album.

If you compared it to the Stones Catalogue, would it crack the top ten?

Hmmm...not quite. Top 15 maybe?

Technically "The nature of my game" recordings could be considered just that.

"Wandering Spirit" is an excellent album, in my opinion Mick's best solo record. I can listen to it all the way through and not skip a song. "Sweet Thing" just works. The title track would have been a great Stones song. "Evening Gown" too.

By far Mick’s best solo output. It’s quite uniform in quality. I can easily play it and not skip a track.

I can’t say that about any of his other records, nor, truth be told, ANY of Keith’s, which generally are far better than Mick’s but still contain the dud or two. What was he thinking putting Goodnight Irene on Crosseyed Heart? Take THAT off and for me it’s a perfect solo Stones record!
